    Gunsmithing A good bedding job?

the quality of integration/fit between stock and barreled action while beneficial and confidence inspiring is in my impression rarely the cause of an outright miss. it's those darn fundamentals that keep sending my projectiles astray.....i say this because every once in a while i do things...

    Issue with Forster FLS die?

very cool...great idea, i should have asked as well. I use a separate expander mandril but at first i couldn't remove the expander ball. After sizing some brass i sprayed some Kroil on it and left it over night...the next morning the expander ball spun right off no problem.

    CCI 450 vs CCI BR-4

there was a recent post discussing this with respect to the 6.5 Cr...perhaps that might afford some insight? https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/cci-br-4-vs-cci-450-and-the-lapua-6-5-creedmoor-case.6402744/ i've used both primers in my 6.5x47L load and found them to be quite similar...

Reloading Equipment New Lapua Brass Several Calibers

rth1800....not sure i understand the cost for the 6.5x47L cases....i would imagine you're asking 100 dollars plus shipping cost for 100 cases...and that perhaps you have a total of 1000 cases? is that correct?

    Nazi with open carry pistol

I believe it was either violinist Jascha Heifetz or pianist Artur Rubinstein who said (i'll paraphrase, as this is partially from memory) "the way to get to Carnegie Hall was to practice, practice, practice". Those of my friends and colleagues who went to Harvard studied hard, a lot and well. My...

    Nazi with open carry pistol

i think a lot depends upon where you grew up, who your mentors were, your culture, experience etc. More than a few country clubs did not allow People of Color to join even in the 1990...i recall the PGA challenge for example. If i recall correctly back in 1990, not yet our President Donald...

    Nazi with open carry pistol

there are so many respectful and intelligent ways to express oneself and one’s position. in my opinion the gentleman in the photograph chose very poorly. it is an insult to every soldier, man, woman and child that suffered or were murdered by those who proudly wore and expressed that symbol.

22 caliber cleaning rod and jag, too large diameter for patches?

i think the VFG pellets work well with bore cleaners, copper removers, application of bore bright if you're so inclined and also to wipe out any extra oil after storage and before shooting. you do have to purchase the screw on adapter for the type of rod that you own..some have male ends, some...

22 caliber cleaning rod and jag, too large diameter for patches?

i switched over to using cleaning pellets..VFG makes them....they work very well and they seem to keep the rod nicely in line with the bore here's a link to Brownells, other shops sell them as well...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig sauer p220 and sig v crown problem.

i was hoping you might have been able to use the 0-1 inch micrometer to measure just the case length alone..... as the case itself should measure 0.898 inch. Likely i misunderstood. It's intriguing. you no doubt know that you have the appropriate magazine, and you know that it fits the PMC...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig sauer p220 and sig v crown problem.

it's really interesting. i looked at one of the Hickok45 videos and it nicely shows the 220 mag being loaded (5:26)......when i try to visually compare the dimensions of the feed lips to case length(ignoring the projectile) on his magazine as compared to yours it sure look a bit different...

    Weed for ptsd. Thoughts?

I did a very brief and not comprehensive review of some of the recent medical journals and UpToDate specifically relating to the question posed: ....."A 2017 review that included a summary of open-label and observational trials of cannabis for PTSD noted that marijuana use is associated with...
