    FBI Sniper Rifles

With all due respect, that might not be the correct version for the fbi rifle, the stocks @Skunk pictures on page one are original stocks and have the textured grips and forearms. The non texture stocks were early m40a1 usmc smear stocks. Maybe one of @Skunk 's pics shows a non textured, I'm...

You can add a hole, too easy, and customize a base to fit it by adding a hole to it too. Zero problems.

@Coejro Your rifle definitely has an extra hole... This is an original, just like mine.

Need help deciding M40A1 build configurations

Once upon a time, the Army M24 kit came with the redfield rear sight and big bore front sight. The barrel was drilled and tapped for the base. I have personally seen m24's with the front base on them. I have never seen a m40a1 with such, rear base or front base, much less any kit with a...

Redfield This below base is longer AND is probably a base that the extra hole in your receiver was drilled for, my best guess.

The below is for the short action, not want this one... no... If you can find the Leupold or Redfield base in matte finish, it will match the one on FBI model 70's.

This is a rifle like yours, above a standard long action 70 without clipslot. Separately w/ base beside them.

A base pic with ruler This is a custom base, made off a nightforce/badger base dimension for a 1965 and later long action model 70. It has the additional hole in the middle rear to fit clip slotted 3006 target models. It also fits the pre-64 model 70's.

    FBI Sniper Rifles

65-66-67 palma rifle has the clip slots like that. It's specific to that action, is a standard long action but has the additional clip slot. Not describing it just right, will have to dig mine out to get photos to show yall the differences. Things intruded this a.m.. still on the agenda.

    FBI Sniper Rifles

That's a clip slotted long action model 70 in 308. The Redfield or leupold long action 70 base should fit as long as it's a 4 hole base. The right base would only take one screw on the rear bc the clip slot ate the 4th hole location. That receiver has extra holes drilled in it. Will post...

    Mcmillan Stock Studs

As previously said, they screw out. If you wanted to move the spacing however, that's a bit more involved. Pic shows the inner workings.

    Browning A5 barrel

My first response was simply "no", and then I knew you would ask why. The barrel hood on the 3" barrel is longer and the 2-3/4 bolt won't mate to it. The pics were the fastest thing I could find in a quick search. If the resale value isn't a consequence to you, find a shotgun smith and...

Odd AMU ammo on Gunbroker. What’s its story?

And few people will remember, after the 300AMU, they played with the 338 Winchester Magnum necked down to .30, and thus was born the 30-338, which with the neck longer than the current 300 Win Mag, was very accurate in part bc of said longer neck. 66 grains of IMR4350 with a 190.
