👆 Agreed. Use the 24" gun. There are some very challenging gasser targets out there. I think it says gas gun is 500 and under, but that's not a hard and fast rule. I'd run an offset red dot for assault stages. Target sizes on field courses can vary from super big and easy to 1.5 moa plates...- Yoteski

Sanity check/input on my components
Sounds like a really nice rig. I wouldn't worry about ring height with the adjustable comb. There's no advantage to keeping scope height super low and can, in some cases, be a disadvantage. If it's purely for hunting, LRP or SRP won't make a difference. I'd probably just go with Hornady LRP...- Yoteski

Side bar: Has anyone ran 88s with leverevolution? I think I might start experimenting as a Varget replacement. My 223ai is probably the rifle I enjoy the most. I've ran 80s at 2950 and 88s at 2875 in a 24" Bartlein. I just have a light palma barrel so I can use it for coyotes, but I'm going to...- Yoteski

This gentleman has written a couple excellent articles about shotgun coyote loads. The yardage/penetration charts are very helpful in determining a reasonable range to expect adequate penetration. I would say the caveat to the penetration data is even if a load will penetrate 4" at 100 yards...- Yoteski
