What’s the hardest part of precision Loading

To me, it's trying to keep things simple and accept "good enough". I have a habit of diving down rabbit holes and chasing every last hundredth out of my group size. It came to a point where I just had to say that I'm happy with my process and the results so there's no need to add another tool...

    Recommend me a new rangefinder

    Recommend me a new rangefinder

Buddy had a pair of Swaro EL's he was looking to get rid of. I've been testing them out this winter.

    Kestrel?

I shot PRS for 2 years using printed dope charts based on Density altitude and temperature out to 1500 in 25 yard increments. I just input my velocity into JBM with as much true dope as I could gather. At a match I'd just have to ask someone with a kestrel for the DA and temp every couple of...

Stocks or Chassis that position the hand closer to the trigger

The revelation is supposed to be the same grip. I felt it was pretty nice. Definitely closer than the Exodus I ran last year.

Stocks or Chassis that position the hand closer to the trigger

Manners T5A is super comfortable and close to the trigger.

    Best Predator Hunting Caliber

    That's exactly what I'd do.

    Best Predator Hunting Caliber

There's a balance to be had when it comes to coyote hunting. Are you hunting for fur? What is your typical shot distance? I ran a 22-250 with 55gr ballistic tips for a number of years and killed lots of dogs. It was a laser to about 400 but after that it kind of lots its edge, although I did...

    Anything wrong with Surgeon?

I had a 6.5 Creedmoor built on a Surgeon 591 about 4 years ago before any of the newer offerings were out there (TL3, 737r, Lone Peak, etc.). Basically the two main options were a Surgeon or Defiance. I love my surgeon action. It runs in whatever conditions I put it through. It was my comp...

Hunting & Fishing Let’s start a coyote thread.

It's been a good season for coyotes. These are just a few remembered to take pictures of. So far I think I'm up close to 30 since December. The coyote in the 2nd picture weighed in at 43 lbs.

Flush Cup Options for Custom Build…?

As above. I'd go with Limited or non rotating in my stocks.

    Recommend me a new rangefinder

I don't want the combo because I run Swaro EL's as my binos already and I'm not willing to take the change in glass quality. I'd like to keep this purchase under $1k but I'd weigh options

    Recommend me a new rangefinder

I currently have a Sig Kilo 2000. I love it for summer hunting with the red reticle that adjusts for ambient light, its unreal fast and ranges pretty well to 6-800 yards on targets and further on hillsides. My issue I have with it is that it really sucks when it gets cold (<20F) and when...

    Manners PRS TCS

Fair, I know it's personal preference for sure. I do mostly positional shooting and find it just a little lower is nice so I can square up on the gun a little better. It definitely is a little low for prone shooting.

    Manners PRS TCS

Random question, but why does it seem everyone moves the adjustable butt pad up on the TCS? I think I'm the only one I know that has ever moved it down.

    PRS Talk What’s your 2021 setup/s?

I tried out a Centurion and I found the grip a lot closer to the trigger than the Exodus. I honestly loved the Exodus, super high quality stock, just wanted more modularity. I'm sure you'll be happy!

Shooting Gloves for Hunting in Cold, Wet, Windy Shitstorms?

What kind of hunting are you doing? Mostly mobile or sitting in one place? I hunt coyotes all thru the winter in Canada and my sits are often over an hour in -20 degrees celcius. I usually run a ski/snowboard glove or mitt with an air activated hand warmer in each one. Sit and stay warm...

    PRS Talk What’s your 2021 setup/s?

I had an Exodus and shot well with it. Its just not as modular and adjustable as the TCS. I'm not a chassis fan so I didn't want to go that route. I haven't shot a match with the TCS yet to really compare but I do like it based on the practice I've done at the range. I have smaller hands and...

    Hard cases

    Nanuk Cases are pretty nice
