    What barrel length and handguard are you trying to clear? We aren't big fans of PA shims in our shop, they tend to crush like a crush washer. We also don't recommend ever shimming anything but the bare minimum for timing. More shims = less threads and a higher chance of mis-alignment.

    I use an LMT bcg in my gun because it’s one of the few full auto bcgs and well….my gun is full auto. Unless your gun is Armalite, any DPMS bcg will work. Double check the headspace and shoot it.
