RRA Compatibility
I wouldn't call $ 440.00 cheap for a complete upper with their BCG. ?? And then there is everything else that has to come from RRA.The one I have, has the 26" 308 Bbl. and isn't impressing me like me 20"223 is.- Baddog 0302

Savage small shank prefits- cheaper......
25 Cal. 1-7.5 TW I have no experience with their barrels, do the search thing, the last postings I read about them, members were posting about a long lead time ??? I'd suggest like others have suggested, call PV and ask about what you want.- Baddog 0302

Heavy AR10 Rifle Buffers...and BCG's
Is there a "norm" {certain weight} for the 308 AR buffer you seek ? i think the one filled from my AR 15 hit 14.2 oz.. Running 24.0 of N-140 with 75 & 77's functions OK, Need a break in the 100 + * temps. before I feel like going to play- Baddog 0302

A while back on another forum there was a barrel rankings chart,call them Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3. Now for the most part these were just personal opinions , but repete usage says a lot. Also, some shops selling barrels AND pre-fits only handle Tier 1...- Thread

The best AR trigger?
Picked up a "Hperfire" "Hipertouch 24" in a trade deal. It has the curved shoe, and the 3 sets of colored springs. The instructions say that the "plain springs" will give a 2.7 # pull weight. I'm hoping this is the "breaking weight" Does anyone have one of these with the plain springs...- Baddog 0302

Best .223/5.56 powder for AR (62gr bullets)
+1 for 8208, you list 2 V V N powders, but for the 62 gn. I would look at N133, N135, and N 140 if you ever want to go with the 77's.- Baddog 0302

Just an FYI, Midsouth has 6 GT brass with a "GAP 6MMGT" head stamp. A Midsouth Tech said it looks ex actually like the bulk Hornady 6GT brass they got in the past.- Baddog 0302

Other Really Accurate .308 Rifles Besides Tikka T3x Tac A1 That Are Comparable?
I have Savages in 6 and a 6.5 CM's and both are MOA or less out to 300 yds, that's the limit of my range. Both have the Accutriggers and with a little work they both are the the <10 oz. range. I have a Tac 1 in 308, thought I had found a gold mine with the ability to load to Tikka mag length...- Baddog 0302
