Night Vision Eotech ELR and Bering SY-Cii photos.

Edit. I'm looking back at these wondering if I forgot to adjust the parallax on the NX8. Check out the 700yd pics for a more accurate comparison. That's a heated 50%IPSC at 400yds.

Night Vision Eotech ELR and Bering SY-Cii photos.

I've had a couple PM's asking about the second generation Bering Optics Super Yoter clip on. The main question seems to be "how good is the image at range". I thought I would post these here for others who might be interested also. I'm not going to call this a comparison, because we all know...

Night Vision EOTECH CLIP ON THERMALS ( Full details)

NightForce Nx8 2.5-20 W/Mil-C reticle. The reticle is more visible than what the pics show. I'm not very good at taking pics or vids that represent what I'm actually seeing. They are always dark. I should have turned the brightness up in the thermal before taking the vid, but I don't think of...

Night Vision EOTECH CLIP ON THERMALS ( Full details)

This is too easy! I could see spall coming off the plates and dust kicking up at 700yds! The little 64gn Tipped Game Kings were getting pushed around by a switchy wind pretty bad though. My impacts were high at 700, but that was a dope issue.

Night Vision EOTECH CLIP ON THERMALS ( Full details)

I took the ring with the fins off for now. Unless I come up with a better idea, I'll probably just trim the fins flush with the back of the ring leaving just a nub sticking up.

    Gunsmithing Bending tenacity bolt handle

The handle unscrews about 1/4 away from the bolt, in case you didn't know. You should be able to just put a sharpie mark where you want the bend, unscrew it, do your business, and screw it back on for a test fit. I really see no downside if it makes it more comfortable and practical.

Night Vision Thermal clip on POI discussion.

460' FOV @1000YDS is around 8.7deg which is about the same as my Bering SuperYoter. A 400yd shot on a coyote is definitely approaching the max realistic range. But to answer your question, yes. Once the thermal is zero'd, dials and holds on your day optic should work as normal.

The TriggerCam doesn't do the image justice either, but it's close. This was on about 12x @574yds. I had to double check the range a few times because it felt much closer than that. The ears were plainly visible when it's head was turned right.

is there such a thing as a FFP LVPO where the turrets dial like a PRS scope?

Vortex Razor G3 1-10. I spoke to Vortex and they said it was perfectly fine to leave the caps off and dial.

    Night Vision Iray Rico 1280

So you're saying my new clip-on won't be obsolete before it even arrives?? 😂

Night Vision Super Yoter C - Any Experience Yet?

Interesting. The Zoom Calibration seems like such a neat feature that few other clip-ons have. Too bad they couldn't retain it. BTW, If you bag the rifle solid on a bipod and watch the reticle while clicking from 1x-2x-4x, you can save a little ammo and get really close before firing a shot...

Here's some better pics with a Triggercam. The pic of the foil target was taken at 15x and gives a better view of the pixel density I mentioned earlier. The trigger cam is cropping the top and bottom of the images. At 3x, the image fills the scope. The horses are around 50yds again

Night Vision Super Yoter C - Any Experience Yet?

I finally got around to some live fire testing. In preparation for running the SY-Cii on my AR, I pulled the Burris 3-15 XTR-ii, removed the barrel, and threaded it 5/8-24. I switched handguards, remounted the Burris, screwed on an TBAC Ultra .338 can (LOL) and fired 3 shots from standing tripod...

Night Vision Super Yoter C - Any Experience Yet?

I killed another rabbit at 60yds and those are the only 2 shots i've taken with it. It's hot here and I'm working a crap load of OT. Blah. Initial impressions.... The recording and downloads work well. It has auto-nuc option. I prefer to do it manually, and to do so requires 2 buttons to be...

    Gunsmithing Tool and/or Die Maker

I'd call up Widden or one of the other custom die makers. They should be able to measure a chamber cast and draw a print. Since chamber casts shrink and grow over time, you may need to find something close and actually fire the rifle so they can use the fired brass to obtain final dimensions...

Night Vision EOTECH CLIP ON THERMALS ( Full details)

This is off the Theon website. Has anybody figured out how the "video capture and image capture and storage" features work or if they exist?

Night Vision Super Yoter C - Any Experience Yet?

Took my first shot with it tonight. I haven't zero'd anything with live ammo and I set it back to the factory coordinates after I took it off my test sled. It was close enough to get rid of a garden pest, although it looks like it may have hit slightly right. Rabbit at 40yds, recorded internally.

More deer around 500yds. About 4-5x through the scope. PID was instant. I had no trouble picking out the buck antlers.

Some more pics. 50 yd deer taken internally. The trees are about 400yds behind it.
