    I could have had a fluke, but I returned my 6-36. I felt the eye box forgiveness was nowhere as good as my old PMII 5-25, and definitely not as good as my ZP5’s. The 6-36 had better turrets and a slightly crisper image, but in the end the restricted FOV and tighter eye box took some enjoyment...

    Action arrived today so I slapped it all together. Robbed the optic off my 223 just to have something on top. Still bare bones but the ACC Elite is a nice upgrade from my old ESS. 26” Bart MTU 6.5x47 in Highland Green, Sniper Gray, (factory ) Black Cerakote.

    The occular is larger than the previous generation PMII 5-25. I tried a throw lever and it would not fit. Not sure about other PMII’s or the objective end.

    Alpha OCD brass, die honed to 0.249. Gives me 2 thou of neck tension before using expander mandrel. I think it’s the best way. I have bushing dies but don’t use them anymore. On my 16th firing with my 6.5x47 brass (Lapua) and still going strong, and no donuts to work around.

    Plug the end, fill with CLR, let it soak for a day, rinse, shoot a few rounds to shake loose some carbon, repeat. Works great.

    It might be on par with most other scopes. I guess it just came down to my expectations. Honestly felt like my older PMII 5-25 was more forgiving. But no doubt that the scope is nice.

Also the eye box was a bit tight. Felt like a downgrade in overall performance from what I was used...

    Agree that the reticles not matching the mag range is poor execution, but man I hated the Zeiss reticle. Was the main reason I sold mine.

    I find mine “usable” during daylight starting around 6 power. Comes into its own around 10x. It’s very usable at dusk with illumination on 3x, perfect for hunting. MSR2.

    A cross over rifle seemed like a good idea

    Yeah it’s definitely a study of compromises. I’m gonna throw a bit longer steel barrel on it to bump the weight up a few pounds for range use and save the CF barrel for hunting. Should come in around 14 lbs with a heavier barrel.
