I'll sell one for $500, I've got 4 to choose from, only one has a ruger receiver. :). Feddersen and GM barrels, all shoot well. About the only improvement would be a kidd trigger.
I could buy the Feddersen Bronze nickel receiver/barrel and a kidd trigger, KRG stock and still be well under 1200...
And a reticle can be used the same if you know your dope, you don't have to dial. But you also know that if you hold a certain amount you will will hit at a given distance and you get to decide what that is, where that hold is on the CDS reticle is fixed and you have to figure out the distance...
Had an experienced shooter in a rimfire match do it yesterday, RO caught it and they had a discussion. Probably should have been a DQ as that shooter had some attitude after a couple poor stages. But he was actually better after their interaction so maybe it was for the best. It happens, no...
I've built a few, I like to build stuff and they shoot very very well for a 10/22. Two I built two for nephews that I shot a test target for after mounting the scope on them. At 25 yards with about 6 rounds down the barrel to zero I shot the test target, they were both essentially five shots...
These use their T post mount or you could use a hook, could also be bolted with a strap. I like the T post mount, quick and easy. I've got circles, squares, gnomes, sharks, dinosaurs and a rimfire KYL.
What are the recommended primers for 22GT, a buddy of mine is jumping into the deep end with a 22 GT. He hasn't done any reloading yet so I'll be teaching proper procedures while we work out the load for it. He was asking about primers and I didn't know if it was necessary to use 450's over...
I recently made a plate for the tripod, cut one in half for it. Don't need two, already has inserts in it. You can have it, pm me a mailing address and I'll send it your way, it's a speckled gray if that makes a difference.
I assume you mean bolt action when you say single shot. It depends on the COF, 10 rounds is certainly possible. Last match we had five targets from 175-350, two shots on each in 90 seconds. I don't get to shoot regularly but still got off all my rounds and made both hits at the farthest...
I have a Bergara in an MPA chassis, though the factory stock wasn't too bad and it was easy to add an arca rail to it. That is what I'd do out of the choices above.
I set an earlier version up for a friend. It did Ok out to 400 for a 6.5 CM, but I kept having to tweak it as I went out further even though I had an accurate velocity. I wouldn't have personally used it any farther than I'd use a simple duplex guessing the distance. :)
I'll take a separate...
I have 20 moa on my 22's, can dial to 400 with Athlon Cronus and Burris XTRIII. I use ARC and Seekins rings, but I'll only buy ARC's these days. One bolt on the rail, one on the rings, easy peasy.
