    Training Courses MTC in Michigan

    Two summers ago i did a low light and moving target course. Great facility and instructors. Ranges to 1000 yds. Rented one of their small but newercabins right on site. I’d go back it was great.

    Range target holders

    Made some targets with 4 x 4 wood posts with a 4’ square sheet of plywood at the top (all treated) to hang paper on for gathering dope, below that plywood I hung 1/2” AR 500 plates with grade 8 bolts and high strength chains -3/8” x10,000 lb test I think. Havn’t broke a chain in 7 years or so...

    Bring parachute cord to hang quarters, skip the spotting scope - your rifle scope is better (maybe too much scope) than most spotting scopes and you don’t need two of them. Cow call and bugle call.

    My Blaser R-93 in 300 Wby mag Took most of my big game animals over the last 30-35 years. Got a 243 barrel and a 6,5 x 284 barrel too, all topped w Swarovski. All the barrels shoot great for factory equipment with hand loads. I’m color blind so the 300 keeps tracking to a minimum.
