    Best feeding 6mm

.243 gets my vote. You can shoot 108s 3400 FPS with R26 or 2850 FPS with H4831sc. Pretty versatile.

Masterpiece Arms- Atrocious QC, Poor Customer Service. (Vids and Pic)

I’ve emailed Lisa from MPA on different occasions and don’t get results. Phil on the other hand went so fucking far out of his way to help me fix a problem that I personally bet he would be hurt to know there was an unhappy customer out there. My folder came a little loose. I tightened it up and...

Any Masterpiece Arms rifle owners out there?

My local gun smith Dresdens in Ohio spun up all my barrels in 2 weeks. I bought the Bartlein blanks. It was easy, not ultra custom at all. My post about the switch lug issue was to highlight how amazing their customer service is.

Any Masterpiece Arms rifle owners out there?

I have the switch lug and love it. I shoot 6.5 CM, 25 CM and .243. I invested in one chassis (folding competition), one trigger (TT diamond), one scope, etc... and I switch them out at the range in less then a minute. The RTZ is within 1 MOA. The barrel lock up is secure. I think other system...

Any Masterpiece Arms rifle owners out there?

If they did, Phil from MPA would go out of his way to make it right. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/masterpiece-arms-switch-lug-issue-fix.6934130/

    25 Creedmoor Load Development

In virgin Peterson brass sized with a .281 bushing and a 28” Bartlein I was not getting any gains with R26 compared to H4350. I will have slightly more case capacity in fire formed brass but it doesn’t appear to be as advantageous as in a 6.5CM

    Edited above post, thank you.

    25 Creedmoor

I loaded up some .25CM with H4350, R26, and H4831sc and conducted a broad ladder test. I choose to then test potential nodes. Below is the data. R26 didn’t gain much over H4350 so I excluded it. Edited to add: Peterson 6.5CM SRP Brass, .281 bushing, trimmed to 1.910, CCI SRP, 28” Bartlein with...

Gunsmithing Masterpiece arms switch lug issue fix

I have a masterpiece arms 65 BA comp switch lug with the axiom action and TT diamond. The issue is the barrel would not loosen from the action despite the switch lug being loosened. The barrel would easily unscrew once 1/2 turn of the front action screw was released. The action was tightened...

when will berger, sierra, hornady, etc release 25 cal bullets?

So you are smarter then the entire team of engineers who developed the app. Congratulations. In my experience the app is dead on nuts with whatever I choose to shoot. Do you personally have any experience with their 4DOF app? And I am actually sorry for confusing you with the imbecile who said...

when will berger, sierra, hornady, etc release 25 cal bullets?

That’s what is fucking stupid. I have no idea how you can sit here and say that your knowledge is superior than the piles of data saying saying this bullet out performs any 6.5 or 6mm. The other stupid thing you said is that a bullet is a cylinder. You’re entitled to your openion. I actually...

when will berger, sierra, hornady, etc release 25 cal bullets?

That’s a long way of saying I rather continue to spit stupidity then look at actual data that will prove me wrong.

when will berger, sierra, hornady, etc release 25 cal bullets?

I use Hornadys 4DOF calculator which is dead nuts accurate and accounts for cross wind lift etc. Respectfully, I was a skeptic. I thought my buddy was full of shit because he had been talking a bout a .25 high BC bullet being needed for years. I looked at data and quickly changed my mind. I can...

when will berger, sierra, hornady, etc release 25 cal bullets?

Ballistic coefficient is a measure of a bullets ability to overcome air resistance in flight. It’s not only the diameter. And a bullet isn’t a cylinder

when will berger, sierra, hornady, etc release 25 cal bullets?

I’m not picking a fight but hopefully there are smarter people then you who khow how to look at data and see the potential of this bullet. The blackjack saves me almost 65” of wind at a mile. You have no idea what the future holds. Post your current rounds data... maybe you have a great recipe...

when will berger, sierra, hornady, etc release 25 cal bullets?

@rth1800 I was skeptical. My buddy is a .25 fan boy and would not shut up about this. Then instead of rolling my eyes I looked at the data. Just plug this bullet into your ballistic calculator compared to the load you are shooting now.... ya, pretty sweet bullet isn’t it. It achieves within 1%...

    Precision Rifles.....show em!!

The clarity is better then my VX3i LRP, the turrets are perfect, TONs of elevation available, I really like the illumination on the reticle for the dark 1000 yard targets where I shoot. I thought it would be a waste honestly but damn I like it.
