    Accuracy International Arctic Warfare

That's a good rationale. This one came from the English guy in Texas who was the importer for AI for awhile. Late 90's/early 2000's I'm guessing. The fast twist barrel is what appealed to me.

    Accuracy International Arctic Warfare

I have an AIAW with a .243 fast twist original barrel, fixed stock with a butt spike. Not sure why that variant was produced.

Detachable Mag vs Internal: Pros & Cons?

I agree with this. My hunting rifles are all bdl. Range rifles are dbm. Not mentioned yet is how uncomfortable it is carrying a rifle with the magazine sticking out the bottom when it's in your hands. The perfect compromise for hunting may be the Hawkins Hunter bottom metal with flush...

    New Chassis- Groups opened up

Magnum caliber? Recoil will exploit every weakness in form particularly with a new interface between you and the rifle. Replace the bipod with a front bag.

AMP really worth the extra $$$$$$

I made the decision to buy AMP based on setup time and safety. Doing batches of 50 for close to a dozen different calibers made anything but an AMP a non-starter. Fooling with an open flame in the basement of my home didn’t seem like a very smart idea. For me, it was money well spent.

    300 WSM vs. 7 SAUM

With 300 WSM brass coming from Lapua and others this year, who favors 300 WSM over 7 SAUM for elk and long range shooting?

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

We're not communicating here. To fit the definition of a droid, the action would have to look like a human. What are you trying to say?

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Yes, but. Expect to do some modification to most traditional stocks for the trigger hanger. Not a big deal, but modifications are needed. If you want to run the CDG action in a chassis with an adjustable magazine catch release or different length catch releases available, yes. If you want...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

The other option for a light weight action without going to titanium is the Defiance Classic, also 30 ounces in long action but with a full length rail.

how do you adjust trigger on blaser tac2

Very fine rifle by the way. I own both the Tac 2 and several AI's. Keep the Tac 2. This is the only rifle I own where you can see the bullet impact move with each click of the scope.

Coup de Gras and Manners LRH

Probably. I have since called American Rifle Company. Very helpful but they tell me the CDG will not accept BDL. They recommended DBM bottom metal and AICS CIP magazines. Hawkins tells me they are producing custom pillars for the CDG and that a bump needs to be removed from the back of the...

Mine is going into a Manners LRH so I will need bottom metal.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I called American Rifle. Super helpful but I was told BDL bottom metal won't work with the the long action. Great. Now I need new bottom metal. What has everyone run successfully? I prefer 3 to 5 round magazines. AICS CIP American Rifle says. Thanks for the help.

Coup de Gras and Manners LRH

This is buried in the CDG thread but thought it would get more attention here. Assembling CDG long action in Manners LRH stock with bdl bottom metal with extended Wyatt box magazine. Stock needed to be inlet to clear the trigger hanger. Not a big deal. A bigger deal is the Wyatt box hits the...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Assembling cdg long action in Manners LRH stock with bdl bottom metal with extended Wyatt box magazine. Stock needed to be inlet to clear the trigger hanger. Not a big deal. A bigger deal is the Wyatt box hits the trigger hanger. Only solution seems to be to inlet the box at the bottom to...

    300 Norma Build Help

This has been my experience as well. In theory, the 300 NM should outrun the 300 PRC. My experience has been shooting loads optimized for accuracy, the differences are not what I expected. In theory, theory and practice are the same thing. In practice, they often are not. Good luck.

Need some suggestions on 6.5CM accuracy loads - AR Proof CF barrel

You have everything you need to build a very accurate load. H4350 is where I would start. You likely will end up in the low 40s. Either ELDM will work fine. Just don't push them too hard. They will come apart in flight, particularly with a fast twist barrel. The one thing I have learned...

    Suppressor Advice Needed

Very helpful. Thank you, everyone. I'm seeing a number out of stock but this is for hunting season in October 2024. I have some research to do over the next month or so. To narrow the options, weight is a priority so titanium seems to be the best option.

    Suppressor Advice Needed

I would appreciate some advice for a suppressor purchase. I have a few but none for a hunting rifle. Calibers are 7 SAUM, 300 PRC, and 300 Norma Mag. Priorities are: Fits over a muzzle brake. Can be swapped from one rifle to another. Lightweight. As short as possible. Quick detach. Value...
