    Is your Simrad cap an original? If so there you all have it. That's got one thru hole. So that would confirm that there are blind holes, a single thru hole and as the ones being made have a dual holes. Supposedly even three holes.

    From what I gathered. There are at least a two or three different profiles to that cap that has been seen. Also they’ve seen blind holes, the two hole variation which is being made as I understand it (which are all threaded so you can move the cap a little forward or back) and a 3 hole variation.

    Here is the cap on Lands rifle. This is the cap that was used as a pattern for the new ones being made.

    That is the original supplied by the Lands and is what is being copied. He hasn’t gotten his caps parkerized and completely finished yet but are patterned after the one I posted.
