    I tried. It's tough out here as we dont have a lot of landmarks and its only a 50 yard difference. I wish I would have shot it with my backup rangefinder......oh well. At least I didn't get burned on the bullets....lol.

    Thinking about this after I got home. I had 100% predicted hits to 1350 then jumped to the mile. I'm doubtful the bc changed that much from 1350 to 1750. I'm betting there was some error on the rangefinder return. The repeating on the shot was too close to be from going trans....imo.

    I shot these today at 1350 and 1748. 1350 was exactly as predicted, 1750 impacted about .7m low. Repeatability was good.

    Mine shows a 7fps advantage (1400) to the 300smk I'm shooting now (2805fps) vs 1393fps both at 1500. Both show super through 1900yds. Hopefully someone has sent these on a trip.

    Anyone launch any of the Norma 338 250gr gtx pills? I bought a bunch of them from Raven rocks for cheap. I'm curious if anyone has worked up a G7 or what results you've seen from seating depth. I'll include a pic of one next to a 300smk that's been pointed. Thanks in advance.

    You could try to sharpie a bullet. It's easy to see on target, perhaps it'll show up on the baffle.

    The favorite maker here told me to send it in dirty. I had a 2b that wouldn't shoot anything under 3moa. I replaced it with the same and now it's a hammer.

    I spun up a 300win that shot 3moa with everything I threw at it. I thought my scope or base must be a mess. Swapped in a known good scope....nothing. I took it up to #8 base screws and bedded the rail....nothing. I pulled that tube and spun up another. That one shot well under moa from the start.

    I've worked on 100 year old generators in hydro that are still running wooden bearings. What's the service life of a wind turbine? Who balances the spikes? They can't do away with hydro and keep on keepin on without MASSIVE efforts to regulate the power.

    My general rule of thumb is any shift in accuracy above 3ish moa is typically optics related.

    .308 Elk Bullet Performance

    I've killed 30 some odd elk now. They're not hard to kill. Feed a 308 a cup/core and you'll be able to pick it up and eat it.......a lot farther away than you will believe.
