    Sierra 150 MK works great out of mine. They are going 2983 out a 26 inch barrel. They hammer. They shoot good over 3000. But I don’t see the need to shoot that bullet over 3k.

    Here is a 3 shot group at 100 of 58.8 of H1000 30 thou off with the 150smk. The barrel has 129 rounds on it. It has sped up. This load is now averaging 2983. The other load went over 3000 and the groups opened up. Next get the kestrel dialed in.

    If you lost confidence in the 147, then try the 140s. They shoot great out the guns I use them in. They hammer in the ar-10. And I’ve never had one come apart.

    6.5PRC 150gr SMK HPBT

    Its a defiance xm deviant. Using there mags I have the room to load up to 3.25 inches. A loaded round at 15 off is 3.055. Base to Ojive is 2.342. Using Hornady brass weight sorted. Cci 200 primers and 59.8 grains of H1000. Gets me 2991. I found a lower node at 2930 ish. That is 58.8 of H1000.

    Here is the Sierra 6.5 150 at 100 yards. Doing load development. I’m running the 6.5 prc with .188 freebore. Barrel is a gain twist 5R Bartlein. 7.5-7 26 inches long. I thought they would be a little faster. But its looking good. That is a 3 shot group at 100. 15 thou off the lands...

    Getting rid of AR15 upper/lower slop , your preferred method?

    Drill and tap the lower receiver. 1/4 inch set screw. I think. It pushes against the upper receiver take down pin hole. You don’t have the quick opening anymore, but it gets all the slop between the two receivers out. And its still legal for cmp competitions. Hope this helps. David

    25” gain twist 11-10 5r Bartlein barrel. Saami 3006 reamer. Hornady brass, CCI 200 primers, 55 grn of H4350, Hornady 178 ELDX. 178s are loaded 10 thou off and going 2775. This is a 3 shot group at. 100yards.

    Once fired 308 Lapua brass
