    Gain twist barrels?

The potential velocity advantage of GT it seems to me is minimal compared to the biggest advantage of GT which, IMO would be for use in ELR as a faster twist should translate to a more stable bullet for a longer period of flight time thus extending the distance & time before transonic velocities...

Juggernaut 185 and scope base selection.

Yes, a 20 base moa will get you to 1200 & a 30 moa base will (easily) allow you a 100yd zero.

    Gain twist barrels?

Frank did that video quite a while back. Seemed like for awhile he (& others) were hot on the trail of LH gain twist advancement foe awhile. For the last year or so, perhaps longer, the subject seems to have vanished from these boards & I am wondering why. Has the technology of gain twist...

Rifle Scopes NF ATACR vs Vortex Razor

Sure would be interesting if you could share your thoughts on why the failure, ie, what type of rifle/action, factory ammo or reload, overcharge or maybe wrong powder, just a rare & unexplainable catastrophic failure, etc etc. Might even save some other bloke from having a similiar experience...

what video cameras are you guys using to film out to 1200 yards

I use the Target Vision (2 mile version) however its not cheap. The shorter range versions are not too bad however. I've been very happy with the unit. It's been very reliable, hd picture & many usevul features.

So what's with the "points" thing?

Fantastic, looks like diverdon's wish came true! Thanks for clarifying Frank, great feature that I'm sure will be appreciated by all!

My Labradar reads the wind now

IMHO the "shortcomings" are easily overcome compared to the benefits received. The "energy" issue is easily overcome with the addition of a decent external battery. The one that is offered with it from the resellers is crap (low milliamps) for what you pay. I purchased a 27,000MA battery on...

So what's with the "points" thing?

Not a bad idea really. I usually just consider their post count to see if they have actually been a contributor or if they are here to just sell crap, especially if it's a high dollar item. Seems like some sort of "Gold member standing" would help but I haven't a clue what else could be used to...

So what's with the "points" thing?

Just wondering, do I get a new coffee maker or toaster after accumulating (and how does THAT happen?) enough points lol. I don't remember seeing the points thing discussed before & a friend asked me about this the other day. I suddenly realized I didn't have a clue what this was about. Can...

    Sticky bolt/hard to extract.

The brass should be safe as far as that goes. It's gonna be pretty hard on your extractor though if you have to beat the bolt back on every round of the ammo you still have loaded. PPU isn't exactly premium brass, if it was me I'd either pull the bullets & deprime what you had loaded (and then...

    1st big bore gun

People say the 5r causes less bullet deformation than other types of rifling however there are plenty of alternative rifling types that provide fantastic accuracy results so IMO the jury is still out on whether or nor the 5r is superior. Sounds like your scope is a PST. It'll take you out to...

    1st big bore gun

While underclassed when compared to the bigger ELR cartridges like the 338's & 375 variations, the 300WM has turned in some very respectable past performances at long range events like the KO2M. Kinda depends on the load/bullet you choose, with some of the solids currently available you...

Rifle Scopes NF ATACR vs Vortex Razor

Glass is comparable. The Vortex costs less & has more features. It weighs a bit more. You can get NF in black. The NF occular rotates with magnification changes (bugs some people). NF now has the Mil-C reticle. The Vortex warranty is probably less hassel & a quicker turnaround for catastrophic...
