    Guess thats what im getting at, making sure your concentric when chambering. Guessing the wording i used was incorrect. Where the rod is allows you to make sure its running true not so much caring about the muzzle end.

    How do you make sure that the muzzle end is running true. I know with rods you measure close to the barrel and towards the end of the rod. Ive been toying the idea around about picking up a lathe for some hobby work. So im trying to weigh options etc. I like the SSG true bore setup.

    Hard to beat a 130 vld in the 6.5 family too. Gas gun may have a little more issue getting them around 2900 though

    New GAP Extreme Hunter in 6.5 SAUM

    Other people shoot it and they cant get behind lower rings. Its a fun gun not a comp gun. Its way to heavy to use as a comp gun, its a factory 6.5 creed LRP barrel on a wsm action and reamed out to a 6.5 saum.

    GAP's always pop up in the F/S section with a price tag around 2500 with a factory trued rem action. I would only get a trg if it came with its expensive proprietary stuff.

    .260 Rem with H1000 (gas gun)

    I had descent luck with rl-25 in my .260 with 140 amax. It was crunching but it was very accurate and good es/sd for an rl powder. A lighter bullet I might try a h414 too?
