    AR parts at Fulton Armory

Re: AR parts at Fulton Armory I bought a lower from them a week ago and it only took 4 days to ship. Their lowers are top notch too.

    Inexpensive Military Sniper Rifle

Re: Inexpensive Military Sniper Rifle Can't go wrong with a K-31. There's about 3 or 4 sitting at my local gander mountain that I've been mulling over for a while. Maybe it's about time I pick one up.

    My first vintage rifle

Re: My first vintage rifle Look on the CMP forums for '03's. There's always a few on there. That's a helluva find though, pretty neat. Is the barrel stamed 11-11? Seems to be in great shape, and with potentially an original barrel and other original parts, despite being a non-shooter...

My 1903A4 Vintage Sniper project is finished!

Re: My 1903A4 Vintage Sniper project is finished! That looks sweet! Nice work! How much were they selling the receivers for on AIM?

    What do I have? 1903?

Re: What do I have? 1903? In its current state, maybe 200-300 bucks, but take it out of the sporterized state and it could be more, depending on matching parts, etc. However, if you're looking to have a valuable '03, you're better off buying one that way. If I were you, I'd enjoy the '03 as...

    CMP Store at Camp Perry

Re: CMP Store at Camp Perry I've called them before in the past as well, the people one the phone were friendly. As for the last time I went there, mostly complete garands, barreled actions, mann accuracy devices and like 1 or 2 30-40 krags in piss poor shape.

    .223 as a starter rifle?

Re: .223 as a starter rifle? That's precisely what I did when I started. You can't beat the ammo price, and reloading components are cheap and available. I'd stick with the remington though. While George suggested the tikka (a good recommendation and a great rifle out of the box), the nice...

First on scene at a plane crash yesterday...

Re: First on scene at a plane crash yesterday... Glad everyone's alright, that's some scary shit. I just started flight lessons a few weeks ago for my private pilots. Things happen faster up there than you'd think. I think it speaks to the pilots ability that he was able to walk away from...

    The new Project -ALL DONE-

Re: The new Project Good choice with 6.5, it's a hell of a round. That forend is interesting though, can't decide if I like it or not. Definitely unique though. Good luck with the build, can't wait to see it finished.

    Forged VS Billet

Re: Forged VS Billet That and billet receivers are usually machined to match a specific upper. So while the lower is still compatible with any upper, it might look kind of janky when pairing it with a different upper than what it came with. Did I mention they're usually much more expensive?

    Forged VS Billet

Re: Forged VS Billet If it's the style of the lower you're most interested, stick with billet. They make all sorts of cool designs and lines you can't find on a forged lower. If you want something that's much cheaper, works as good if not better, but lacks the tacti-cool zombie milling, go...

    Springfield M1A

Re: Springfield M1A I stuck with factory springfield mags with good results - but generally an empty wallet. Those suckers were expensive but I had zero problems. As for the rifle, keep it stock It's a great looking gun on its own. Something about walnut and park just looks good.

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

Re: Idea! Official DTA SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Th One other thing, has anyone come up with a better buttpad solution for the SRS? I love the rifle but the pad leaves a lot to be desired as far as fit and comfort.

Re: Idea! Official DTA SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Th Back to the cratering, I'm still working in to my new .338 SRS, but when I was testing out loads yesterday, I was getting cratering from even the minimum book load. I had called DTA about it before but they said it was because I was shooting...
