Scopes for 22lr out to 200 yards?

Did they lighten up the razor at all in the gen 3? He is wanting something lightweight and the gen 2 definitely was not light.

    Gunsmithing Armorer Tools

Not Pounds per Square Inch (psi) which is a pressure like what you fill your tires to. Torque is a force times distance. Force is usually pounds (lbs) in the US because we are idiots and can't figure out Newtons like the rest of the world. Distance is usually inchs or feet in the US again. In...

    Gunsmithing Armorer Tools

For me a good vice mounted rigidly to a heavy work bench comes in handy more times than not. Sounds like you have most figured out. I will through a torque wrench out there. So many times people over torque things which doesn't accomplish anything other than frustration later. Doesn't have to...

    Rifle Scopes Better glass

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Vortex isn't the most clear. Where they shine is in the features and benefits like warranty. My Cronus BTR is clear but I can't get over the thick reticle lines. The RZR wins hands down in the reticle design.

Rifle Scopes Technical question on trajectory!

agree with skookum. For lack of better term you are actually loping bullets to the target. Your scope height above the bore, velocity, BC, and bullet weight all have to do with the trajectory and where the bullet will "peak" in it's arc. This is why you actually have a zero 2 places. Ar-15's...

    Gunsmithing Torx Problem

^^^^^ What jetmd said The reason torx/6 lobe was developed was to be able to handle a much higher torque than a allen/hex drive. It should be able to handle a lot of torque with a good tool. Especially since screws with 6 lobe or internal hex drive are almost always a harder screw like grade 8...

    Is my Vudoo chamber damaged?

Can not agree enough with this. They found out they had a bad reamer and my dads was one of the possible culprits. Contacted HIM, not the other way around, and requested it back to fix it.

Gunsmithing Threading barrel risk accuracy issues?

Barrels? I don't think Chad has that big of a 5 axis mill to rotate a 30" stick and still machine. He spent a ton of time and money working on collets for the lathe instead of a 4 jaw chuck. I am willing to bet he hasn't given that up. You are correct on using too small of a thread on a large...

Gunsmithing Threading barrel risk accuracy issues?

Why would have a barrel threaded by a smith be any different than the factory? Both are going to use a lathe and remove material. Threading the end of the barrel for a brake or can has lots of discussion on loss of accuracy. I don't see the argument on barrel blanks. Anschutz supposedly has...

DIY hand brass trimmer to power

I guess I'm the only person running a garage corded Bosch drill. I bought some linear slides but haven't got around to building a cradle to run on them that holds the drill yet.

308win Bartlein 5R vs Krieger 4 Groove Accuracy Testing

I really hope the Bartlein 5R doesn't do good. I really wanted a 1:10 twist in my 308 and they didn't have that option in 5R when I ordered mine so I had to go with standard 4 groove. It shoots but I have heard the 5R are so much easier to clean.

Rifle Scopes Scope rings differences in price but is there a difference?

Cheap rings like UTG will give you more headaches than they are worth. I have been really impressed with the Seekins/Vortex PMR. Normally was a Badger guy but I really like not having the big nut to clamp on the mount.

Rifle Scopes Athlon Ares ETR 4.5-30×56 or Cronus BTR 4.5-29×56 for Ruger RPR 300 PRC

I had to go with extra high Badgers or 1.375 for the Cronus BTR to clear the float tube on my 6mm RPR.

Meet my very own Voodoo! Been waiting a long time.

Nice with SK but be interesting what it will do with Lapua. SK/old wolf seems so lot dependent on it it shoots.
