People Familiar with Portland - Check In...(FML, getting relo'd there temporarily)

When do you expect to arrive? Summers here are pretty damned nice, despite the snakes . As the pandemic evolves traffic will start to get messy. No where near as messy as SD, but still a pain in the ass. Minimize your wife's commute and thank me for it later.

Oh, and prepare yourself for the snakes and rain....it'll probably stop raining by July 5th but then the snakes come out...

People Familiar with Portland - Check In...(FML, getting relo'd there temporarily)

I'm assuming the vessel will be in dry dock on the south side of the North Portland peninsula . You don't want to live in North Portland. Look for a place in Northwest on the other side of the Willamette River....Germantown road will get you up to Skyline - where you can live in the woods...

Increasing .22 ammo accuracy on a budget- PNW Hillbilly hack- Anyone up for a challenge?

All I'm curious about is to find out if other shooters experience the same increase in accuracy (decrease in group spread) that I'm seeing by using spraying this stuff on shit ammo. I'm not proposing removing any lube from existing "quality" ammo.

Increasing .22 ammo accuracy on a budget- PNW Hillbilly hack- Anyone up for a challenge?

I'm old enough to remember the Swix and Klister X Country ski wax tweaks and the related home brews...The same for cycling chain lube solutions before the days of TriFlow and other wonder fluids.......this is how I'm approaching my exploration of squeezing any additional performance out of crap...

Increasing .22 ammo accuracy on a budget- PNW Hillbilly hack- Anyone up for a challenge?

I've found that the coconut oil spray is easy to apply on the framed rounds at the bench. On colder days it thickens up and on hotter days it doesn't appear to run. I'm not getting any indication of dieseling. I have done the weighing/sorting by weight for Colibri subsonic rounds and a local...

Increasing .22 ammo accuracy on a budget- PNW Hillbilly hack- Anyone up for a challenge?

I've been noodling on how to get better accuracy out of my generic/crap .22 rounds lately when the good stuff is either too expensive or not available. I noticed several years ago that most of the Eley and SK and Wolf rounds come with sort of factory wet-lube. So I set out to see if wiping my...

Sprinkle some cane sugar on that bitch and put it back in the oven at 375F Or mix some cold butter, a bit of flour, some sugar and some cinnamon in a bowl and sprinkle it over that and bake it for 15 min ….it'll form a crumble topping Or smother that mess in vanilla ice cream and...

Agreed. I guess learning how to reload (insert defensive gun type here)___________ competently should be part of your training as much as being able to ID and neutralize the threat in a reasonable amount of time w/o injuring innocent bystanders.

Converting sling stud to picatinny rail

What is the make and model of the wood stock? I'd use two anchor pints to mount a pic rail, because I break shit.....but it may be worth trying a device as listed above to start. Here's a decent guide on drilling an inserting a t-nut for a second mounting point.

I won some at a match and never really used them because I was running a Saiga12. I ended up giving them to a buddy who shot a Benelli and who eventually bought that Saiga from me. I keep a bandolier next to my shtf 870. Mostly loaded with buck and a few slugs....and some Prairie Storm...to get...
