    Chassis for duty use.

    I use an AI chassis and my partner uses an XLR, both have the NV bridges. Most chassis have the option for NV if you need it. Get what fits you best. I really like the polymer sides of the KRG's and AI's, not so cold in the winter, not boiling hot in the summer.

    I would say no. For the price Leupold is letting LE guys have the MK5 3.6-18 for, that would be my recommendation for sure.

    I've found the Sunwayfoto ballheads don't hold a candle to any of the RRS products in stability. If those are the two options, TA3 without question. Extremely stable. I have the 364C as well and they go together well. Just be sure to get the 2.5" handle option.

    It was the 4-16F1. In usage, I can't tell an eyebox difference between the two. On max for both so 16 for the ATACR asnd 18 for the MK5, I think the ATACR had a slight advantage. On about 12x, where I do the majority of my shooting, they are equivalent.

    I also started with a savage and went to a tikka. To me there is a large quality difference between the two and I think it's a very worthwhile upgrade. Going with the Tikka, especially as a gift, is a great way to go and you won't be disappointed.

    The caps it comes with can rotate on the eyepiece so you can keep them vertical no matter the magnification youre on. They don't get in the way for me at all rotating through the mag range.
