Range Report Conflicting data at different distances... Long range 6.5 Creedmoor

Are you running the B.C. at the constant (.618)? Also, I run 42.6 h4350 out of a 27" bartlein GAP Crusader and I'm only at 2820 to 2830 fps. It's the EXACT same speed as the "OLD LOTS of the 140 amax ( factory). I ran the #'s and something is up. Your 450 yard was on at 2.7 mils. But...

    An Apology to Berger Customers

Agree 100%. As far as I'm concerned, Berger has revolutionized the .30 caliber in regards to LR and ELR shooting. When you've got a 230 grain bullet that has a better bc than some 300 grain .338 projectiles, you've done something!! Hell, I built a ELR .300 win mag JUST BECAUSE OF THE 230 and 215...

    An Apology to Berger Customers

Fuckin' A.... Notice there's more yellow boxes than anything. No apology needed. Shot my best LR group to date with a 215 hybrid at 1,330 yards.

Stiller Tac-30 Is one hell of a Action.

Stillers are SMOOTH. I have had BAT's , Defiances, and Stillers and IMO , Stiller Tac 30 seems to be just as good as the rest. It will take a beating like all the ones mentioned. I built a long range .308 with a Tac 30 and it's a GREAT ACTION

    Alliant 2000MR

The current lot I've got is pretty stable. 40 degree temp swings have only slowed me down 25 to 30 fps. It's pretty stable. A hell of a lot better than Reloader

    Alliant 2000MR

I'm pushing the 185 juggernaut at 2830 fps with 47.0 pp2000 out of a 28" bartlein. It's incredible. Btw. It do a high node for sure.

Reloading .300 win mag., is this the correct redding die set?

Redding body die will take care of the fl/ bumping. I'd use a bump / bushing die first that doesn't fl resize. The case will be fit for your chamber and I can almost guarantee better accuracy. Forester makes a bump/ bushing die that's really good. I use it for 2 or 3 firings then when needed...

    .300 WM Nosler Brass issues

Nosler brass varies A LOT from lot to lot in terms of case capacity. I recommend you take one of your win cases, and weigh it for h2o capacity. Then do the same thing for the Nosler. I can almost guarantee it'll be about 3 or 4 grains difference, which if your shooting a stiff load , REALLY...

Range Report Berger 230 OTM out of 300wm

So I've been getting REALLY good results with Retumbo out of a 30" Broughton 1:10. 76.3 at mag length is About 2890 fps. Light load but VERY accurate. 230 OTM btw. PaulStafford , I got to ask what's your COAL and charge weight with the h1000? That's some serious speed for the 230 with a...

    Max effective range of .308

Not trying to call you out or anything like that but I have watched a buddy hit a 2x2' ar500 plate at 1088 yards with a 20" 1:12 FNH Police with a 168 factory FGM. And the BULLETS WERE STABILIZED!! Not a single "sideways" hit on the plate. He shot 3 rounds to get on target and then put 7 or 8...

    IMR 4064--Berger 175gn tactical .308 load help

It was 2.230 to ogive and I think it was 2.845 COAL. If that's what your asking.... I'm sure Sean was shooting 2.790 to 2.810 max

    Damn luck or what?

Was it 3 for 3?? Or like 3 for 15? That's something you never clarified. If your engaging cow shit at 860 yards and went 3 for 3 I'd say ... Luck was MOST definitely a huge factor. But there's ALWAYS skill involved. And don't let guys here tell you your rifle isn't capable of great performance...

    Mind my GAP?

They are truly sick rifles. I'm on my third now. A Crusader 6.5 creedmor. I've shot groups at distance that no one would believe if I didn't have witnesses. Here's my last outing with it at 890 yards. You'll be VERY satisfied. And like the others have said... Ruined for life.

    IMR 4064--Berger 175gn tactical .308 load help

Sean Little, the former Marine Scout Sniper , and I were talking about the M118LR match ammo that he helped redesign a few years back. And he told me that it didn't matter what brass they used, or which particular rifle liked in terms of charge weights... 42.0 grains of IMR 4064 was IT as far as...

Rifle Scopes Looking at bushnell or vortex for a 6.5 creedmoor AR build.

There is also a reason for that. Sent a Viper PST back 4 times... Never had to send a NF OR my ERS or XRS back and they've been through the ringer. The PST just can't stand up in reality to what it's marketed as. The Razor is a different story

    Going to try the Hornady 178 BTHP--2000MR & IMR4064

I appreciate that. I've shot the 4064 with the 185 juggernaut with awesome results too. I just had my dope and A LOT of the 185's loaded with power pro. It shot GREAT though.

Choosing a 30 cal for long range shooting

I run the 215's at 3015 fps out of a 30" Broughton 5c. 1:10 twist. Had it throated long for both the 215 ann 230s. If I'm hunting with it I use the 230 Berger OTM at mag length. 2890 fps with a mild load of Retumbo. Shot a doe at 660 yards with it and she was DRT. I also shoot the 230 hybrids...

Fantastic. I've got it set up where I can load up ammo so fast it's ridiculous. Amazingly how fast it goes.
