    I had the same opinion of the HS stock as you. I went with an AICS 1.5. It can be found for around $700 on here from what I've seen. As soon as I got it, I purchased some viperskins with the extra large grip and love it. With the aics you have versatility.

    i went with a drag bag by ncstar on amazon. like you i didn't want to spend much and didn't plan on abusing the bag. It's about the same price and I've had no issues with any zippers. it's not quite a year old yet, but it's been to the range several times. Holding up strong so far
