    Agree with above on shooting good ammo. 10 solid rounds that make sense on the target is a lot better than shooting 20 and not understanding impacts.

    The 260 mentioned by RedRyder would be a excellent choice but with near identical ballistics to 800 yards and the abundance of very good factory ammunition, I'd opt for the 6.5 creedmoor in the Tikka. All the scopes you mentioned would be nice choices.

    Thanks to all who have posted reviews I own 7 NF scopes and 1 S&B. There not been a scope from another manufacturer that has caught my attention like the Leupold Mark 5 3.6-18x44 has. A very nice power range for a gas gun or hunting rifle and a TReMor3 reticle for $2100, I'm very tempted.

    I agree with Horns8491. I'm getting away from capturing the wind and target with the Kestrel and just taking wind readings, determining where wind is coming from and using the dots.

    RRS Tripod and head selection

    Yesterday I ordered a TFCT 24L that i will be using mostly as a hunting set up and some extra mounts for NF spotting scope and Nikon D7200 Mike was a great help over the phone answering all my questions and made sure I got what i needed.
