    Gunsmithing Remington 700 SPS free floating and mods?

    I have done quite a few epoxy jobs on sps and similar stocks. Waste of time. Rather use the time to find a second hand wood stock, at least epoxy adheres better. Over time if you like tinkering you can also change the outside shape on a wooden stock and paint it. edi

    Not T3 but the T1x can make a fantastic trainer rifle if fitted to your favourite custom T3 stock. It dropped right into my E-Tac4 CTR stock leaving a little gap left right in the CTR mag inlet. edi

    Recently got a 3-27PMII to try on my 300wm and for a display at a veterans "meet" in Ireland. Of course I have to test the thing first. Three shots in the garden to zero and get the speed . Forth shot was a sika spike as our season just opened. Nice scope but will have a tough time to compete...

    Maybe I worded this wrong.... what are the go to bottom metals for AICS magazines in composite stocks fitted to rem LA/SA clones etc.? Which (made in USA) company can reliably deliver? edi

    What is available in the US and is seen as good quality Mag System for AICS type mags on Rem 700 SA or LA? I have fitted several different types in the last years that customers dropped off. All worked OK but I have no long term experience with US brands. thanks edi

    Only had one Proof barrel come through our Workshops recently. It had a step in the shank . Not sure if the smith who fitted the barrel did it or if she came that way. Barrel had ~ 1" at the muzzle if I remember right. edi

    Yes that will probably come but still won't allow you to stick a 300wm etc. into your stock for a shot. One has the gap on the sides of the floor plate but at least one can shoot / hunt etc. Great rifles the T3, get's better if you have a few of them and swip swop bit's around depeding on...

    The rifle in the picture was mine, the ASH safety is a great feature but not the easiest to install. No Problem once understood how a Mauser type safety works but can be dangerous if fitted wrong or borderline. ASH has a little video on his website...

    First Proof barrel in our workshop. Fitted by Doms Custom Rifles in Ireland. We did the stock work. Just shy of 3kg without bipod. Bipod is Spartan javelin carbon. edi
