    Next rifle suggestion

    I would probably go with a 20” CTR in 308 for the reasons mentioned above. Also, great match grade ammo is available at prices that make reloading not even worth the time.

    Need advice on a build for a hunting rifle 6.5 cm or 308 carbon fiber or stainless steel barrel & and a good stock McMillan or similar?

    I had an M1 knob installed on my FX-II 6x36 and it’s worked really well for me. I don’t dial windage so I couldn’t see paying extra for a turret that I’ll never use.

    I’ve got an XTR II 4-20 on my 6.5 and I hunt almost exclusively in massive bean fields. I can’t recall ever using anything over 10-12x. I’m ready to sell it and drop down to something in the 2-10x42 range.
