    Agreed. The Desmond / Demon ballheads that are available are a HUGE value. They make “inspired” models of popular brands. Check them out if you’re in the market and don’t want to spend a lot.

    I have been told that the universal leveling head will work with the 404C but I can confirm the TA-3 will not. I exchanged my 404C for the 364C. With as overbuilt as the 404C is I have no hesitation swapping. In fact, I kinda prefer to swap to save weight.

    Correct. STI DVC Open. The red red dots on glocks work awesome for me. The RMR is meant to be tough. I think a well machined slide with a good fit and a quality red dot is good to go in my book. I have thousands of rounds on an RMR on an FNX tac and never had issues.

    Correct. The 364C is lighter than the 404C by a couple pounds I believe. They also make an LN-324C model that is lighter even still, I think that one rates to 55lbs. I managed to arrange an exchange for the 364C earlier today. Going to roll that direction now that I have confirmation it works...

    I was thinking that .... the RRS TA-3-LC uses the set screws dr the series 3 RRS and Gitzo tripods to lock it in. Even if I got a 75mm bowl adapter I’m not sure that it would actually provide anything to lock the Leveling head in. I believe we’re on the same page.

    il get some pics! That collapses to 23” exactly. So it’s a snug fit, but works in the gamut plus. I also carry an IFAK and a miscellaneous pouch in that pack. And if wanted can fit a plate carrier. It gets to be about 30lbs give or take with everything, but the bag carries comfortably.

    Help selecting Ballhead

    Diver nailed it. Even the strongest ballhead will not match the stability of a Leveling head. Simply because of the design of a ballhead and the differences in center of gravity.

    PRS Talk New Area419 Universal Dovetail

    Area419 just posted a new video on their Facebook. Looks like they’ve designed a long RRS Dovetail attachment for traditional stocks. Pretty clever! Of of course I see this the week after I sold my Manners T4A to buy a chassis for the purposes of dovetail mounting. Haha
