Rifle Scopes Question about Nightforce ATAC-R zero stop

For those with a Nightforce ATAC-R, do you tend to set the clutch for the zero stop at exactly zero, or do you tend to set it in a way allowing 0.3 - 0.5 of hold under? Having used a Steiner T5Xi for quite a few years, that is default and unchangeable to 0.3 mils of hold under. Thanks. -ES-

    Nucleus Light Primer Strikes

Range report: Took the rifle out today for a 100y drill/load validation (action screw came loose...sigh...needed to re-zero/test). Decided to install the 16# spring. All 26 rounds ignited nicely with my practice Nosler brass + BR-2s. Tuesday I’ll be at long range practice and text it with my...

WTB: BTC-Pro or other Atlas bipod dovetail adapter

Who might have a dovetail adapter for an Atlas bipod they might want to part with? I'd prefer a BTC-Pro. Once I can find something, I'll install the dovetail rail on my Pro 700 chassis. Thanks. -ES-

SOLD: Magpul Pro 700 Chassis, SA, Folding, Black - $750

I am being vain as fuck and seeing if someone wants my wonderful Magpul Pro 700 chassis simply to replace it with the OD green one. I've used this chassis since launch, I really like it and will be shooting it during this years season. Everything is fully functional, and if someone is...

In this instance, my OCD would kick in and I’d be a hot mess until that was un-fucked.

Rifle Scopes Scope Cant Rant, Hey I can rhyme, Dr. Dre better sign me before he fines me...

I’ve spent lots a time dicking around leveling scopes and finally broke down for a Shpur mount. I’m never going to mount with rings again. One piece mount with a bubble in the mount and a mechanical leveling device is so easy and reliable.

Rifle Scopes T5Xi 5-25 parallax adjustment issue

My eyes (as with most) do go through a daily cycle. This generally becomes more profound with age. Also, hydration through the day can impact this. Is this something I do _always_, no; but for the absolute best focus, I’ve always found starting with diopter adjustment yields best results. Just...

Rifle Scopes T5Xi 5-25 parallax adjustment issue

Whenever the parallax on my T5Xi seems wonky, I reset the diopter and then things are well again. Here’s a link to a method I’ve found works well. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/setting-up-a-ffp-rifle-scope-a-simple-psa-on-diopters.6252841/

    Which Folding Chassis?

Magpul Pro 700. I’ve been beating one around since their release and will be shooting this season. There are lots of point of adjustment and I do like the overall ergonomics. I’m kinda surprised they are not talked about more frequently. Also, had a chance to handle one of JP’s new chassis...

Trying to figure out heavy bolt lift and my match load

Ran the test I wanted today since I was already at my range for RSO training. Shot a ladder to evaluate bolt lift. 5 round at 42.2 - 43.0 in .2 grain steps. Lessons learned. In 40 deg temps, bolt lift began to get a bit harder at 42.8, and was more noticeable at 43.0. The two groups below were...

Trying to figure out heavy bolt lift and my match load

I learned that tip here. When I tossed the cob media and switched to walnut, I use the dryer sheet trick. Plus, the lavender scent is marvelous.

I tumble in walnut after I prep brass and before I prime to remove the lube.

Trying to figure out heavy bolt lift and my match load

Me too. With the ARC Nucleus action, I started with a used Criterion barrel and ran a .2gr ladder from 41.6 up to compressed over a Magnetospeed. The primers started flattening out around 44.2gr, and I stopped there. At 43.2gr the edged of primers are still rounded.
