    H110 . and . Win 296

Re: H110 . and . Win 296 Hey softcock, (LOL) 110 and 296 are the exact same powder, so use away! W-760 and H-414 are also exactly the same with the only variance being lot to lot.

Update: a 243 Remington SPS Varmint and 105's

Re: Update: a 243 Remington SPS Varmint and 105's Not to de-rail, but I've got a 243 WSSM. Same case capacity as the 243 Win. Ya think the 105 A-Max and H-1000???? Seems like a really slow powder.

    .300 Win Mag/208 A-Max. H-1000 or Retumbo?

Re: .300 Win Mag/208 A-Max. H-1000 or Retumbo? Thanks guys, I was lucky enough to find an 8#er of H-1000 at my local bike shop. LOL! Ba, I wish I could tell you where. The frenzy that's going on now sucks. Luckily I have 1000 208's tucked away....

    What am I doing wrong?

Re: What am I doing wrong? Variance in headspace measurement is probably due to the brass being in slightly different states of work-hardness. You need to anneal the necks and shoulders. Do a search here and the net on annealing. It will most likely solve the problem

Need Advice - Ladder Vs. OCW, First Attempt

Re: Need Advice - Ladder Vs. OCW, First Attempt The above is something I have written and saved to try to help folks; the method has been working well for me. It is basically shooting groups at long range. You do the bullet seating at the range so that you don't have to pull a bunch of...

Need Advice - Ladder Vs. OCW, First Attempt

Re: Need Advice - Ladder Vs. OCW, First Attempt You're on the right track. I'll tell you what I do after doing a lot of development with all of the methods. They all will pretty much get you to the same end, but I think I've really shrunk it down to the lowest common denominator. I think...

Range Report Could my 260 need a new barrel before 1300rds?

Re: Could my 260 need a new barrel before 1300rds? All of the above input is good, but you'll need to do one at a time to eliminate variables; just like working up a good load changing only one variable at a time. If I were you: 1. Clean the barrel reeaally well. Shooter's Choice on...

    Making 6.5 Creemoor brass

Re: Making 6.5 Creemoor brass It works though Cream of Wheat is reported to be EXTREMELY hard on the barrel... I'd like to hear the reasoning for this. I can't imagine shooting COW down the barrel with 15 grains of Unique even comes close to firing an incredibly tight fitting copper bullet...

    300 WM- Re 25 & 208 Amax?

Re: 300 WM- Re 25 & 208 Amax? I tried and am using RL-25 with the 208 in my .300 WM Target rifle. I'm at 74.4 grains and am getting 2890 fps. With all the talk of H-1000 and velocities closer to 3000, I may try it when the RL runs out.

Monthly Sporting Rifle match RATON NM

Re: Monthly Sporting Rifle match RATON NM If I was a betting man, I'd say it won't be long until Jessie matches or sets a course record there. She's always right there at the top with 56's and 57's....

Groups opening up at longer range

Re: Groups opening up at longer range +1 with the guys recommending abandoning 100 yard load development. I've had many loads that shoot one hole groups at 100 yards but at long range perform poorly. I now only develop at the longest range possible. At 600 with the targets I've devised, I...

    Stainless Steel Media Testimonials

Re: Stainless Steel Media Testimonials I just did also. I've never tumbled my brass, but a friend uses this method and I decided to go for it; Brownell's had the tumbler/SS meadia combo on sale. Yesterday I tumbled 200 .264 Win Mag cases, 500 .243 WSSM cases and a few .300 Win Mag cases...

7mm 338 lapua imp pressure problem

    Factory Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor load

Re: Factory Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor load I suggest starting at 41 grains of H4350 or a little less. The reason has nothing to do with pressure but everything to do with accuracy. I had to change powder lots and was loading around 41.5 with the old lot. When I changed, I worked UP from...

    .338 Norma Magnum/ 300 gr Berger Hybrid

Re: .338 Norma Magnum/ 300 gr Berger Hybrid OK, so I did it myself. Went out today with the .338 Norma Mag and the 300 grain Berger Hybrids with Ramshot Magnum. My load with the 250AB is 93.5 grains so I figured I'd start a 90 grains and work up shooting at 760 yards. The first 3 shots had...
