  1. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

I worked up a load with the 123 ELDs and Varget and took them out to 600 yards yesterday. At 39.60 grains they were moving at about 2900 with an SD of about 7, and grouped pretty well at around .5" at 100 (flyers still occurring so I need to get this barrel glued in). At 450 yards I was able...

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

Ran about 80 rounds through it so far with just a quick load I threw together (41.4 h4350, 140 bthp, and used old Hornady brass) and it functions perfectly so far. These loads also were for quantity, so they were within a tenth of a grain and not .02 like my precision reloads. No failures, it...
  3. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

So there I was. Deep behind Karen lines, as they continued their assault.
  4. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

Yes OP titled it as a part of his description of the rifle, which is much different than the manufacturer claiming it to be a clone. But yes, if this thing breaks, doesn't shoot, etc, then I want to post it. I'm not defending PSA or bashing them, I'm just trying to validate a good deal if...
  5. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

Before the Karens unite here, not everyone takes this platform seriously in terms of accuracy or use in the civilian world. No one is going to battle. No one said clone. No one said just as good. Most have other very nice rifles for what they need them for. If your mad that I didn't spend...
  6. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

I will say it looks good! I'll chance the barrel shooting mediocre. It ran my reloads great but was only a few rounds. I'll shoot groups and check function tomorrow with 100 rounds. It pairs fine with a DPMS lower in case anyone was wondering.
  7. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

Yea... but it doesn't look cool.
  8. EscapeVelocity

Load development in a gas gun

Great looking groups. Gives me hope for my gasser and the fact that I might be able to get low numbers as well. What's your plans to push the 130s so fast? I'm considering trying the 123s and 130s for speed as well.
  9. EscapeVelocity

Load development in a gas gun

I'm really intrigued by the 123 grain bullets and trying to generate as much speed as I can with them. I may try the Sierras or Lapuas.
  10. EscapeVelocity

Load development in a gas gun

I made those 80 rounds at 41.4 of H4350 at 2.800, so they may shoot decent for break in rounds.
  11. EscapeVelocity

Load development in a gas gun

That's very good to know! I may have to get with you if I run into problems. If this psa barrel won't shoot, I'll be looking for a barrel, and trying to keep it on the shorter side at around 18".
  12. EscapeVelocity

Load development in a gas gun

This is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for, and wouldn't have thought of it. I'm currently running a .2625 mandrel for neck tension and see how that does, if not what do you recommend? Also should I not worry about shutting off the gas to develop a load?
  13. EscapeVelocity

Load development in a gas gun

Yea I'll be testing function in that first 80. After that I'll be using lapua brass, h4350, cci 450s, and 140 Elds.
  14. EscapeVelocity

Load development in a gas gun

So I have one of the PSA Sabres m110 ish in 6.5 Creed on the way. I have about 80 rounds to run through it as a break in, then I will start load development. I've not done a real load development in a semi auto so my question: since it's easy to turn off and on with this rifle, should I turn it...
  15. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

I mean if it doesn't shoot that well, I picked up an AR10 for $1000 (minus the bag, bipod, and mags) that the barrel can easily be swapped out.... I didn't see a downside. I'm not after a clone.
  16. EscapeVelocity

    PSA M110 clonish rifle

Anyone who bought one have an update on how it shoots? I have a forged 6.5 Creed on the way and plan to work up a load after 100 rounds.
  17. EscapeVelocity

    MK12 (ish) 6.5 Creed Build

I would pick one of those PSA Sabers up if they were in stock.
  18. EscapeVelocity

    MK12 (ish) 6.5 Creed Build

That's a good possibility of what I may do. I can always add the parts I want to it if it does well enough. The other part is settling for what I don't really want and end up selling it under a year. I'm glad to hear your having good luck with what you have!
