I've seen some talk of the image going out of focus between mag ranges. Is this normal for all these scopes, or was it just a few that had problems? Can anyone confirm that their scopes which are supposedly good can cycle through mag ranges without losing focus?
I don't I was just asking. I don't want to buy one and it have a bunch of issues. Zeiss generally has a good reputation, they just haven't been as prevalent as the other big names in the precision world. Where is the best place to get one and what is the pricing like?
I did see the comparison thread about that one. It was never really on the radar. Is it too early to tell if that's a legit option or is it being used successfully now?
Currently using a 3.6-18 mk5 from my shorty rifle but needing another big scope for my new comp rifle. I was going to grab another mk5 7-35 but started looking around and I've seen people say optically they aren't that great compared to other offerings. I guess the main other contender is the...
After reading essentially all the shot show threads on multiple forums, I've seen it mentioned that Leupold will be releasing the mk5's in the tan/fde. I don't recall a time frame for the release though. Does anyone here in the know have a solid time for that release? I need another mk5 but...
Thinking of trying a new bullet, need something more consistant than rdf's. Looking at 123 eldm and 147 eldm. What do you guys think for a 18" 6.5cm Bartlein suppressed? Also what powder? Been running h4350 but man its getting expensive. Will staball6.5 work in shorter barrels with either of...
It's a M70 that SAC built with an 18" Sendero Bartlein in 6.5cm, with ptg bottom metal and mcmillan a3g stock. Nomad Ti, mk5 3.6-18, hawkins rings, atlas etc. Hammers out to 1200, I shoot it in local matches.
Is the MTR the only model that comes with a match chamber? Does it affect accuracy that much? I'm thinking of picking up a Pro Varmint, does it have the potential to shoot well?
The one you linked doesn't accept AICS mags, only a 5 shot single stack style mag that no one really uses. It may fit with minimal material removal. The square nose metal is what takes AICS mags and requires CNC inletting from a gunsmith.
