I bought a T3 after Eurooptic deeply discounted them. I had never even seen a Tikka (I frequent the reloading store a lot more than the gun store). I was not disappointed. They still have a few T3's left for great prices, really tempting to pick up another.
I actually talked a buddy of mine into getting one because he wanted to get into his first bolt action for as little money as possible. He got the 6.5CM and the thing freaking shoots.
We all talk a lot about our customs, but what's your favorite mass produced rifle? I have a Tikka T3 Hunter in 7 Mag that shoots pretty darn good. I have also heard good things about the newer Browning offerings as well as Bergara and Howa. What do you like?
I'd love to see the match community grab onto the nickel bore and have some nice BC projectiles produced. A 250 Sav or a 25-06 (regular or AI) would be a sweet shooting gun if only the BC's on the bullets didn't suck. Light recoil, just a joy to shoot, and the 25 caliber can take down any North...
There have already been handloaders that have shown that the 6.5PRC can run nearly step for step with the 6.5SAUM. What's the problem here? If you're shooting for precision and you're not reloading, there's something wrong.
How is that the fault of the 7 mag again? Ive killed 10 elk with a 7 mag. So the bullet made a U turn, what kind of bullet were you using? Also, if it even made it back to you, how much energy do you think it would have?
The militants make something called a hellcannon which is a homemade rocket tipped with a propane tank filled with whatever they want to fill it with, chemical weapons etc. They don't fly very well so they rarely hit their target.
The issue here is, this news is fake. They lied about Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, what makes you think they're telling the truth about Syria? We also keep arming rebel groups in Syria and then shit...they magically join ISIS.
For belted mag brass I use Norma or Nosler. Peterson made some for a minute or two but I haven't been able to find any. I used some Winchester brass to make a load because that's what my father had for his rifle, and I was not impressed.
