    Copper plated through supressor

That's what I was asking. My can is a PSD Megalith made with 4150 CrMV. Please explain "the dip".

    Copper plated through supressor

I've been using a 30 cal can on several guns including a 22LR. Was wondering are there potential problems shooting copper plated 22LR subsonic's through a sealed (no disassemble) can?

Variance in case capacity between brands

Nice. Thanks for sharing. Have you looked at the Lehigh Defense 257 ELR? Insane BC if it holds true

Variance in case capacity between brands

I looked at the Flat Lines. I think I'll take a deeper look there. Thanks for your input. BTW what are you loading?

Variance in case capacity between brands

CoryT, Because I'm an idiot and can't leave well enough alone. I love to experiment. I have a healthy supply of my pet load for that rifle so I thought I'd embark on another quest.

Current batch is between 312 and 318 grains.

Variance in case capacity between brands

Currently I'm loading 98 gr. behind a 285 gr. ELDM. Figured I'd be OK starting there with the lighter 250's and work up. Guess it's not in the cards. I'll just do another work up. Thanks for all the replies. This is still the best resource for practical information.

Variance in case capacity between brands

Very interesting article. Upset some prejudice in my thinking.

Variance in case capacity between brands

Thanks for the reply. I have no idea about the speed as I haven't loaded them (the 250's) yet. I would have liked to start around 99.0 gr and work up but case capacity is already maxed out. I don't have a problem switching powders. I was just looking to use my current load as a starting point...

Variance in case capacity between brands

So before I get piled on: I already have a great load for this round (posted in the Depot). I full understand all the aspects of consistency in reloading. I was asking a general question. Here's why: Currently I'm loading 98 gr. of RL33 under a 285 gr. ELDM in well prepped (consistent) Hornady...

Variance in case capacity between brands

Curious if anyone can make a generalization as to which brands of cases tend to have more capacity. I've seen a difference of about 2.5 grains between three different brands of 338 LM cases with a given powder. I've had instances where load development was halted by case capacity. Not big on...

    300BLK Powders

My sub combo is 11.4 gr of CFE BLK with the Maker Rex 220 gr. 3/4" at 50 yds going 990fps. I'm going to have to try Alan98's sub recipe too. Always gotta tinker.

    300BLK Powders

I should have mentioned: I'm running a 16" bolt action. Big difference. I'd be surprised if the 110 didn't produce for you.

    Re use primers?

I've done it many times. Then I use them for fire forming cases

    6.5 Grendel

Alexander Arms is the designer and holds the patent for the Grendel. Others have developed copies and gave them different names i.e. 6.5 Sporter. Which does not have the exact chamber/throat. Mine is a 6.5 Sporter and it shoots many combinations with exceptional accuracy especially the lighter...

    6.5 Grendel

No problem. 95 gr. Vmax H335/30.2 gr CCI 450 primers OAL 2.19 95gr. Vmax H4198/24.5gr. CCI 450 primers OAL 2.26 No idea of velocity but both held 3/4 MOA

    6.5 Grendel

You may find success with the light weights. I also had a terrific load with the 95 grain Vmax that shot 1/4 MOA but opted for the heavier bullet for the longer ranges. Let us know what you come up with.
