    I like the scar 17 and the repr for different reasons. They are NOT going out of (LWRC) business. Do some research. In one late 2012 contract, they won almost 100 mil with and allied government. A friend of mine just left LWRC for a better personal opportunity.

    There's about 8 ounces difference in the 2 models. I have both. The standard MWS feels much heavier due to its bulk of the quad rail and patented barrel clamping design. The MWS sure isn't light compared to the likes of JP but it's a very different design and a lot more 7075 aluminum as well...

    KAC rail question

    Get on Boltcarrier.com and they will have rail kits, grips for you to choose from. You will be able to put rails or covers pretty much wherever you want. Assuming you are speaking of urx3.1 rail system.

    I'd be in for that trade. Agree on eotech. They are bigger, heavier and have crap battery life in comparison. Don't hear too often about an aimpoint failing either.
