If you want to lower your point of impact say 3 mills. Loosen your turrets and go to the 3 mill mark on your elevation turret. Tighten your turret back down and bring turret back down to zero. Your point of impact should have dropped 3 mills. Hopefully you didn't break anything when trying to...
This is basically what I do. I have AI AT 308, 260, 6.5 Creedmoor, 243. S&B 5-25. I just record my settings from barrel to barrel. I had a Leupold Mark 4 on my AX338 which I really don't shoot that often and another Leupold Mark 4 on a SAC Defiance 30-06. I sold both Leupods and have a new S&B...
I too am using Nosler brass for my 6.5 Creedmoor. The brass looks good to me. Actually far less weight deviation as compared to Lapua. I use Lapua brass for everything else. I am getting great accuracy out of the Nosler brass. "If it ain't broke don't try to fix it." I used the small primer...
Using standard dies will never get your fired brass back to unfired diemensions. A small base die will. This especially comes into play using once fired military brass. In many cases, such as yours it doesn't appear to make a difference. Even though the brass might be a little tight in the...
The brass is trash....I personally don't crimp, even for a semi-auto. If you do crimp make sure you seat in one operation and crimp after, using the same seating/crimping did. Re-read the instructions on your die and you will see what I mean. Ray
I have an Pre 2014 AX338 and thought about a 300 win mag. Mile High told it was not practical because it becomes more than a parts switch because there was no AX300 win mag manfufactured by Accuracy International. Ray
They know what they are doing over there..I have 6.5 Creedmoor and 260 Remington barrels for my AI AT that shoot lights out. By the way beautiful rifle..Ray
I can see selling two lesser scopes for a high end scope. But I would never sell a high end scope for two lesser scopes. My guess is your decision to keep your Razor is one you will not regret...Ray
When you get to the high end glass they are all pretty close..that said I will have two S&B 5-25x56 scopes as of this Wednesday when my second one arrives from Eurooptics. .Ray
A 12 twist 308 works just fine...155, 168 and 175 grain bullets shoot lights out in my AI AT. If I feel the need to shoot heavy 30 cal bullets I would get a 30-06 or a 300 win mag. Ray
I have had several custom builds..nothing wrong with any of them, but eventually sold them. I have an AI AT a couple of years now. I finally found something I do not get tired of shooting. It might have something to do with the switch barrel feature allowing me to switch calibers...
The scope should not be on the second revolution...Loosen your evaluation turret, like when you were zeroing your rifle at the range. Rotate a full 360 degrees and you will be back down in first first revolution..it seems to me when you went to zero, you turned your turret to the wrong zero..not...
I have an AI AT that I shoot probably 75 percent of the time. I have a S&B on my AT. I have a couple of other rifles I would like to upgrade the optics on. The S&B is just not in the budget and I don't want to switch optics between rifles. I already have 4 barrels on the AT. The 4.5-29 Athlon...
