Rifle Scopes Problem with Zeiss Conquest

I had a leupold do something simular. Gently rap scope with a screw driver (10-12"). Then make adjustments, shoot, rap again, shoot. If changes stabil. Good to go until you feel like sending scope back for warrenty. Or, just call SWFA, and ask for help.(much simpler)

    Berger vld bullets.

I have tried three different calibers, Hunting Vld's. Loading to mag. length. All have shot better than anything else.(Nosler,Hornady,Sierra) Since I am incapable of out shooting these loads, no further load development has ocuured. 6mm:105gr,6.8mm:130gr,7.62mm:155gr. Farthest tested 450yds. (...

Hunting & Fishing Left Bow at Home

Grear shot! Thank you for stopping another vermin. Everyone, remember hog hunting is not fun, it is work that game wardens are too lazy to do.( If states thought otherwise hog hunting would require a license) Now, throw that carcass on a fire to get rid of it.(I like applewood.)

Issues with -- New Remington 700 308 target tactical VTR 5R 26" VTR

Tahoe, While your levels aren't precise, I understand using them to confirm what was noticable to the naked eye. I think you are doing right by having it sent back. Just me, when you get the new rifle back and no major defects leap out, Shoot it! Good luck.

Rifle Scopes POA-POI at 100 yrds, but 4-5 MOA right at 400 yrds ?????

I'm a hunter mostly, some paper, I don't hve a need for super robust mounts. That said, I have found using an adjustable base(my case,Leopold) and laser bore sighter helpful. I center the cross hairs mechanicaly(see sticky's) then center the bore sighter in the bore. Target as far away as I can...

    Son,s first .22 what scope?

I have to side with those who suggest master irons first but, I'm old school. Any of the scopes reccomended will work nicely. Ability to focus at short range in my mind is paramount.(15yds.) I side with leupold 2-7. Paralax is preset, no fiddling with nobs slowing down the fun. Enjoy!!

    Best Bench Surface For Bipod

To those of you who put something to push against on your bench. How do you keep from over loading the bi-pod? Not crittism, I haven't much experience switching from different surfaces. My understanding is I should use very little loading for best consistancy. In turn switching surfaces is...

Maggie’s The Future of Equip. Operators?

Re: The Future of Equip. Operators? I guess my take was the kid wasn't working for his family but being used for cheap labor which is why we (USA) have a hard time competing. I'm all for children learning a work ethic. I grew up on the farm and learned to work, no complaints.

    H4831 and 3006

Re: H4831 and 3006 Not to Hi-Jack but are you guys using Mag primers with H4831? I've only shot upto 165's in my '06 and 4831 seemed to have excessive flash compared to 4350 and VV powders. Again I used a lighter bullet.
