Rifle Scopes Hawke New Frontier FFP

That's a very fair offer Doug, however I'm outside US (New Zealand) and I believe that you don't export.

Rifle Scopes Hawke New Frontier FFP

The only real appeal of it to me is the fact that it is about the only ~600gm, 30mm tube, FFP, mil/mil with a decent reticle, moderate magnification etc scope available pretty much. I would rather it was priced at 3x what it is, and made by NF/S&B/Vortex/Leupold but they don't make anything...

Rifle Scopes Hawke New Frontier FFP

Has anyone seen/tried one of these scopes? They're ideally specced for what I want; just a bit dubious of the quality. Any feedback appreciated

Rifle Scopes Vortex PST GII 2.5-10x32

Has anyone actually weighed one of these? The advertised weight of 26.3oz seems rather high for the size of the scope, is it actually correct?

    Rifle Scopes Lightest 34mm rings?

While I appreciate the sentiment, I already have the Mountain Techs and they seem to be working so I don't think I'm going to change.

    Rifle Scopes Lightest 34mm rings?

I also ended up with Mountain Tech rings after posting this thread. I am happy with them. I believe the low rings I bought were about 105 grams.

Rifle Scopes The scope I have been waiting over 10 years for...

Lightweight = 600gm or so. Compact, well less than a foot and a half long March F is very close to what I would like, I just wish they'd make it with a 4x erector, that must surely be simpler and less optical compromise? As I have I have a Mk6, also have an LRHS, have had NXS etc in the past...

Heck make a F1 NXS 2.5-10x42 and I'll replace everything I own with them.

Rifle Scopes The scope I have been waiting over 10 years for...

My Mk6 replaced a 3-12x50 PMII, and had to go back to the factory day 1 out of the box as the tracking was pretty significantly Not Straight

Rifle Scopes The scope I have been waiting over 10 years for...

I don't actually mind the Mk6 but I wish it was 30mm, even with a 4x erector instead of 6x I would be more than happy. I don't like the march due to the 8x erector, it seems like it adds additional compromise for a gimmick where the top end of the magnification is no practical use anyway

I've been waiting for a lower mag AMG, it seemed like what I was hoping for, but never yet appeared

Rifle Scopes The scope I have been waiting over 10 years for...

The Mk5 uses 35mm mounts which counts it out for what I want (a hunting rifle with a decently featured scope) as it requires heavy rings + bases, as well as the scope itself weighing somewhere over 700gm. 30mm = Talley ringmounts! I have a 3-18x44 Mk6 which is about the closest there is, aside...

Rifle Scopes The scope I have been waiting over 10 years for...

Still doesn't exist. 2 or 3 to 12 or 15, x 40 ish or 50 Simple .1 mil tactical turrets. Decent travel Simple FFP mil-hash reticle (or a christmas tree since they're so popular these days) 30mm tube. Top quality. Side parallax adjust. Compact size. Light weight. The Bushnell LRHS was...

Rifle Scopes Nightforce 2.5-10x42 .... This is what was missing !! :)

I'd like a FFP 2-12, just because I'm used to using FFP scopes, there's no real-world downside to a FFP reticle even at lower powers and I often shoot animals etc at 6x or so for field of view but still like to be able to hold wind.

try a March, Leupold Mk6 or Mk5 imo. Smaller and lighter, better suited

Hunting & Fishing New Zealand Sheep Hunting!

I don't think this particular hut is a NZFS/Internal Affairs cullers' hut but yes, that is how a lot of them got there originally, along with old miners or farming huts.
