    Loctite 620 on every AR barrel here with great success. I don't wax or do anything else, just 620 during assembly. Bonds very tight and easy enough to remove with the wooden dowel as has been described.

    Say what you will a monocular will never come with me. I would buy a better quality QD thermal all day every day. It takes a second or two to mount back on the rifle. I promise you have a few seconds while hunting to attach a scope, saying otherwise is just nonsense.

    I just put one of these together with the 22" proof barrel. Have managed one sub MOA group with it in the first 100 rounds though a few others were close. Definitely a learning curve coming from the bolt action world.

    I would go with #4 on that list without a doubt. The helos 4-20 is on my 6 ARC and its a killer scope in that price range.
