    I just bought a CTR in 223 and read the horror stories about the barrel and pic rail, and both came off with alomst zero effort. It's wild how different some stories are with pulling these rifle apart.

    Those numbers appear to be at 100 yards, so muzzle velocity is roughly 3025fps.

    According to their velocity, the 277 fury is even faster than I had thought. A 16" is moving a 150gr bullet at 3025fps.

    The born and raised outdoors model with the 24” barrel was discussed on here a few months back. I’d have to go back to find the post though. The plastic hand guard cover thing is different, not sure what it’s purpose would be.

    Just an FYI, MDT raised their prices after Jan 1, the XRS went from $500 to $650. I was looking at it or a Bravo/X-Ray and now will probably go the KRG route. Edit - now I see that it's back to $550 on their site, so that helps
