Also disregard the one being for sale... It sold in 4 hours... So you can tell they are a hot commodity.

New guy would like some build advice please.

Also I wouldn't go with two piece scope mounts on a stock rem action. There is too much discrepancy in how the front and back will line up so definitely a one piece mount. For rings I would recommend seekins. They are great and light, the badger mount will work fine but if you go with seekins...

New guy would like some build advice please.

A lot of people on here prefer the aftermarket actions like Surgeon, defiance, BAT, and so on. All have great upgrades like side bolt release and integral scope base and recoil lug. Myself personally, I love my rem 700 sps varmint .308. With that said to have a "1000m nail driver" more than...

    Ceracoated bolt

Did it make the bolt throw less or more smooth? How is the coating holding up after how many rounds?(or how did it look when you sold it if that's what you did) Thanks

    Ceracoated bolt

Hmmm I would like to know about the coating they use. The weapon in thinking of having it done on is a rem700 which I don't think has the tightest of tolerances.

    Ceracoated bolt

I'm thinking of doing it to my rem 700 bolt, and yes black would be a good color as it would be forgiving when it starts to wear.

    Ceracoated bolt

Hey everyone! I am contemplating having my barreled action and bolt Ceracoated, and I am considering getting my flutes coated in a contrasting color. This will be more expensive. My question is to people that have had there bolt Ceracoated, how long did the coating last? How quickly did wear...

"The paleo diet"/ "organic foods"/"metabolic damage"

You hit the nail on the head sir. What most people fail to realize is that it doesn't matter if you eat 2000kcals of twinkies or 2000kcals of meat your weight will be exactly the same. Now your body composition will be drastically different but that's beside the point. "Paleo" diet generally...
