Rifle Scopes What Zero distance is best?

I hear you bro but I was once a new guy and trying to understand the optic as a gearbox (which it essentially is) is what helped me understand the different zeroes and how they worked. Believe me I'm not arguing with you my friend...just adding a different perspective. The mechanical position...

Rifle Scopes What Zero distance is best?

It's more of a "metaphor" Rob... it's in the context of...from purely a mechanical standpoint.

Rifle Scopes What Zero distance is best?

^^^This I believe there is a best zero and its 100 yards, unless you're talking about a dot sight or other difficult to zero optic. The rifle & optic are plain stupid and do not know what number is displayed on the turret. If you zero at 100 yards, then dial in your 25, 50, 200, or...

    SPR

This should do fairly well with FGM 69's. Strangely enough I was told the twist was 1 in 8.5 but the barrel is stamped 1-9. Not sure what the logic behind that choice was or even if its true but DEZ barrels aren't exactly top tier to begin with so I can't complain. I'll find out how she...

    SPR

Didn't have a choice. This was a completed build that wouldn't sell because of the asking price and I was offered a deal I couldn't refuse so I leaped on it. Given its purpose as a trainer it should shoot well enough. I'll likely fry the barrel within 2 years anyway so I can get something...

    Dual Sport/Enduro Motorcycle-Need Advice

One bit of advice I haven't seen... Dual sport/Adventure bikes are really popular right now and I'm assuming you want one because you want dirt capability. If your idea of "dirt" is the occasional foray down a dirt road you can pretty much do that on a freakin' chopper or sport bike. Point...

    Dual Sport/Enduro Motorcycle-Need Advice

Not sure how much you're looking to spend but few compare to a KTM. They're a bit pricey but they already have all the high speed aftermarket goodies installed from the factory (WP suspension, Brembo brakes, DID Dirt Star wheels, multi-position Renthal bars, etc). The Honda was actually on my...

    SPR

Same here. They're very impressive to say the least. I'll go so far as to say they're the best 5.56 receivers I've handled to date. I have several sets of their rings so I can't say I'm surprised.

    SPR

I have the Geissele SSA and SSA-E in my PWS carbines and both are great triggers. I actually shot fairly well with the JP I had in a SASS I used to own but it just wasn't quite as crisp as some other singe stage offerings. They're surely much better than most all rack grade triggers. The...

    SPR

Ummm...there simply are those that feel better to me. I had one break on me once but I can't really say that's the reason...if you shoot a lot, shit is going to break. I'd shoot a $10 trigger if it felt better than someone's "magic" trigger.

Panhandle Shooters Challenge 20 APRIL @ K&M PRT

Another top notch event. Thanks guys. The range looks fantastic as always and congrats to top finishers. I need to start attending these one day matches regularly. My only complaint would the drive...maybe you could send a helo my way next time.

New build and a little match porn...

Turnout has been really low lately. Ammo and reloading supplies are hard to find. Knowing how much ammo costs has improved my shooting though...misses have become expensive and I'm a cheap bastard.

It's growing on me quickly. I really had no use for it but fell into a deal I couldn't refuse. Could almost kick myself for letting it sit so long. Yes...very soft shooter. Recoil is about on par with a 5.56
