    Mark your cartridge with a sharpie and chamber it. The rub marks will tell you where it tis too big. then you can take appropriate action. I wouldn't do anything until I knew what was wrong.

    Yup, from an HK fluted chamber. You could reload it and it will pop back out, being it is plentiful, sometimes it is best to add it to the scrap bucket. Maybe that is why it wasn't picked up by the guy that shot it....

    I would shoot a group with each load you tried here. Groups will tell you more than a single shot at each weight. look for vertical stringing to flatten out and FPS to flatten out also. They should coincide.

    Powder for .22-250

    Well, nobody has said IMR3031 yet, so I will 35 grains behind a 40 BT works good. So does H380, and I like Varget too. H4895 does well with a heavy bullet. If you have Varget, give it a shot.
