    casio commando smartphone

Re: casio commando smartphone(Olympus TG1 camera) I'm posting from mine right know. I don't notice any performance difference between this and my Incredible. The screen takes some getting used to cause it is a lot less sensitive than any other touch screen I have used. Ive only had it about...

    5r or sps

Re: 5r or sps Since you said the plan is to replace the stock I would go with the SAC-AD. Ive seen them in the $650 range which leaves enough in your budget for decent glass. Whatever you do don't go cheap on the optics to get a "better" rifle.

Rifle Scopes Who is still hanging on to MOA

Re: Who is still hanging on to MOA This just crossed my mind today,I have never been in the military so I have no experience with how they operate but watching top sniper and similar shows they always refer to moa. Do their scopes use moa adjustments or mils? I know they use mil reticles, but...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite 4200 Tactical 6-24x50, FFP or SFP?

Re: Bushnell Elite 4200 Tactical 6-24x50, FFP or SFP? Are you sure it is an elite "4200"? I didnt see one on their site. That model was discontinued last year, they have an elite tactical line which took its place. The 4200's were offered in both first and second focal plane. The manual with...

Rifle Scopes Removing Paint From Scope

Re: Removing Paint From Scope Brake cleaner and a little elbow grease. I just removed krylon from my scope this morning in about half an hour. Spray it on a rag and rub it off, use a brush for the tough to reach spots.

Rifle Scopes scope rings base set up advice sought

Re: scope rings base set up advice sought Is that the budget for the scope only, or for the base and rings as well? I am happy with my Burris XTR rings and they are half the price of Badger. Not knocking Badger at all, just giving a more budget friendly option. My only recommendation for a...

Rifle Scopes 30 mm scope rings and bases

Re: 30 mm scope rings and bases I have the Weaver base and Burris XTR rings on my 300 win mag with only one issue, I am not getting an extra 20 MOA from the base. I am only about three MOA on the good side of center. I haven't measured anything to find out what is out of spec but I suspect...

    Remington 700 5R 300 WM Trigger Upgrade

Re: Remington 700 5R 300 WM Trigger Upgrade I have kept the x mark. After backing the adjustment screw out, it is light and crisp. No real plans to change it as of now, but if I did I would use a Timney.

priming tool suggestions for a newB

Re: priming tool suggestions for a newB The only problem I have had with my Lee was breaking the handle, probably too aggressive while seating. The good news is parts are cheap, and you can have one for small and one for large, or even one for each caliber and still spend less than others.

Care to share your Douglas SPR load?

Re: Care to share your Douglas SPR load? I get .75-.5 out of my 18" AR depending on loads. It seems to like 50 gr bullets more than the heavier pills, which is a little disappointing. Look through the reloading depot. There is a thread for .223 & 5.56 with lots of info.

Rifle Scopes 20 moa scope mount question

Re: 20 moa scope mount question I don't see what the problem is, most scopes should have no problem getting a 100 yard zero with a 20 MOA base.

    Building a reloading table

Re: Building a reloading table Here is what I am building. I just picked up the lumber for it at Lowes and spent ~$150. It's a pdf file second row, third down. http://www.shotgunsportsmagazine.com/downloads.html I also like this one for the removable inserts...

OCW results, not sure what to make of this.

Re: OCW results, not sure what to make of this. It's a R700 5R. I believe the twist is 1:11.25, but I'm not 100%. It mainly a hunting rig, no competitions. I tried H-1000 with less than spectacular results. I couldn't cover 3 shots with my hand at 200 yards, and I tried R-25 last year but its...

OCW results, not sure what to make of this.

Re: OCW results, not sure what to make of this. I see what you guys are saying about the vertical spread. Do you think it would be worth it to try to step it up to 73.5 or so? I stopped at 73 cause that was the book max, but I didn't have any pressure signs. If anybody has advise on this...

OCW results, not sure what to make of this.

Re: OCW results, not sure what to make of this. Conditions were about as perfect as they get around here. Wind was 5-10 mph at 11 oclock and ~70 degrees. I pulled one shot on the 72.5 but all the others felt good. I waited 3minutes between shots, the barrel stayed warm, but no too hot to hold...

OCW results, not sure what to make of this.

I'm trying the ocw method for the first time and my results are not what I expected after reading the instructions. I'm h-4831sc under 190 Berger VLD-h's out of my 300 win mag at 200 yards. I shot 3 rounds of each charge starting at 70.5 moving up in .5 grain increments to 73. All rounds were...

    300 wm powder?

Re: 300 wm powder? I just finished my first round of ocw testing and H-4831sc shows promise. H-1000 was terrible. I was shooting 190 Bergers and think they might be a bit light for that powder.
