Rifle Scopes Monarch 4-16x42 internal elevation range

The paperwork for my scope claims it only has 40 MOA of internal adjustment on elevation and windage, yet when I count the clicks from stop to stop (not forcing it) I count 60" worth (61" actually, but I figure it's rated for 60"). Am I missing something? Did they spec it wrong or make a running...

Just got a new R700 SPS Tactical - Problem?

Re: Just got a new R700 SPS Tactical - Problem? My SPS-T in .223 has the same case scratches with almost no ejector marring, and my buddies SPS-T in .223 has the same ejector problems, with almost no case scratches. Williams said they would file the extractor and polish the feed ramp for $40...

new sps tactical with hogue overmold

Re: new sps tactical with hogue overmold Yes it sags a bit but if you preload your bi-pod it will peel it back from the barrel enough to not touch even on a warm day. If you really like the stock, just buy the fully bedded version, it has a more rigid fore end. If you're shooting off bags...

What type of bipod should I get?

Re: What type of bipod should I get? My Walmart only carries Shooters Ridge/Winchester knock offs of Harris. Having owned both the Shooters Ridge and the Harris I HIGHLY recommend the Harris. Also the swivel is much nicer, my buddies is swivel, and I regret not getting it. My vote is the...

    Photos My new SPS Tac

Re: My new SPS Tac Well it's back from the smith. I picked it up after a couple of days of waiting with no call. He hadn't touched it yet. At the suggestion of my buddy, I stretched the mag spring and it feeds fine now.

    Photos My new SPS Tac

Re: My new SPS Tac It's at the smith right now, the rounds aren't loading right off the left side. The bolt keeps passing over them. They said it might end up going back to Remington, which sucks because I wanted to take it up north with me the end of may, and I'm sure Remington isn't that fast.

    Photos My new SPS Tac

Re: My new SPS Tac The front end is a bit flimsy on the pillar bedded version. It may or may not be stiffer on the full bed version. When resting on a bi-pod the barrel is kinda close to the stock, but if you preload the pod it gives it good clearance. A nice stock over a stock SPS or SPS-V...

    R700 round feeding issues

Re: R700 round feeding issues I can see what's wrong, the round is rocked backwards slightly: It looks like the brass is being scratched by the bolt passing over it as well, which is why it's really bad on some rounds and not so bad on others. My follower seems to also want to rock...

    R700 round feeding issues

I just bought a new R700 SPS Tactical in .223. The problem I've been having is that when I go to close the bolt if the round in the magwell is on the left (I.E. Rounds 2 and 4) the bolt will pass right over it unless it stick my finger in there and wiggle it. Ran about 40 rounds through it and...

    Kwik Klip conversion?

Re: Kwik Klip conversion? I have one on my '06. Fit and finish is pretty good. I got mine on clearance for 1/2 price, which makes it even better. I haven't seen a HS Precision one yet in person, but from the pics they look similar. Here's a pic of it on my gun:

Re: .30-06 round on whitetail Four out of the seven deer on the pole last year were 150gr Core Lokt. Can't beat that! (Two were .444 Marlin so they don't count!). I like being able to buy ammo at the hardware store if need be.
