    SWFA makes good glass, their new 3-15X42 for $700 would fit your need, or watch out for used HD 5-20X50. Stock is all personal preference.

    Nice shooting, I tried this today with 223 at 525 yards on an 8" gong and missed my wind call every so slightly. Hit it the next 19 shots, but missed my cold bore.
