I know it's plenty early, but since it's available I though I'd post next year's schedule for Rayner's for those that like to plan ahead more than a week at a time. The dates for the Sniper Challenge matches are there as well as a couple of multigun matches for anyone interested. Last I knew...
I had them profile one down to govmt weight dimensions and was happy with the work. I had no change in accuracy, but handling of the rifle was much better. I don't remember the weight reduction as far as ounces goes, but it was substantial. I'm not sure if fluting would give the same result, but...
How about the Just Right Carbine? It takes Glock mags and uses standard AR parts such as triggers, grips, butt stocks, and handguards, so it can be whatever you want.
O.K., the waiting list has started again, so here's a reminder to get your $50 registration in by Oct. 1st. If for some reason you can't get it there on time and you want to shoot the match, please contact the Rayner's. Also, if you are not going to be able to attend and have registered for the...
That thing on ebay is huge. It says 11 ounces and 1.48 wide. I'd say stick with one of Ross's brakes mentioned above, a Harrell's, or something similar.
It looks like the waiting list has dwindled down to nothing. The match is still full, but if you'd like a chance to shoot this match you better call the Rayner's and get added to the wait list. I'm guessing there could be another 1 or 2 cancellations between now and then. A spot opened up last...
Looks pretty bad-ass! You have got to be happy with that critter.
What's the "tactical match" chamber all about?
What are you doing for bullets, powder, etc?
I didn't get it last 2 years. I emailed them and they activated it for a week for me 2 years ago, but got the same "sorry, it's a lottery" response last year.
The July match is coming up this weekend. I was there last weekend and seen some new shooting benches in the works, so there might be a third bench at each position this weekend..
That's great. You definitely have a keeper.
The funny thing is that 26gr of Varget and 69s has been my general purpose load for a long time to share among rifles. I just use them for 3 gun stuff with 1-4x scopes, so no idea just how great it could be in my rifles.
Has this happened to you or are you just wondering?
I've heard the theory of slam fires with ARs, but never actually seen it happen or know of anyone that's had it happen to. The only exception is when a guy tried small pistol primers in .223 ammo and did get a few slam fires, but he was...
