    Adjustable cheek hardware

    It's a Savage F class stock. Rifle will have a 30" bull barrel. It's not a hunting gun. There are holes in place in case screws are ever desired, but it fits very securely as is.

    Looks good. I think that will make a very good rifle for the Rayner's match. I've kicked around the Grendel as it is a cool round, but just barely have time to load for the calibers I already have.

    What are you talking about for compensation when sealing? I just used some laquer and it's done. When fully closed it doesn't match perfectly due to the saw curf, but that's not really a concern to me. I think I'll paint the hardware black and still need to clean up the cheek piece a bit.     I've got a 10" square piece of duct work I can use, but just haven't gotten that far. I bought a Paache single action air brush and have a compressor. I only used those preval POS things once a few years ago and apparently got a bad one. I'd rather load ammo on an old LEE hammer actuated...

    Hey shooters, Just a reminder that the match fee is due March 10. Apparently there are several others that would really like to get into the match, so if you haven't paid up by the 10th your spot may go to the next guy waving a $50 bill.

    I did a little looking around the web at every design I could find and made these 2 different types of hardware for an adjustable cheek piece. I haven't installed either one yet, but will update this thread when I get around to it. So far I like the one with the plate clamping onto the 3/8"...

    Duracoat and webbing in a spray can. Since it's the DIY forum, a couple of custm handguards as well.

    Gunsmithing KMW loggerhead on a HS Precision by Stockdoc

    Everyone needs to turn on their ability to receive PMs. With the new software the profiles have been reset to default. The PMs are a bit screwed up as well and many are probably over the new limit.
