The first thing you need to know?

Re: The first thing you need to know? I don't think any marksmanship class has the time to include a detailed block on critical thinking. The fact is if a student doesn't understand the fundamentals, will they grasp critical thinking? I don't think so. The first few years of my LE...

    Rifle Scopes Age old question

Re: Age old question Age old answer... This question would be answered better in the Optics forum not the Semi Auto Rifle forum. If it were me I would go Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50, Zero Stop, MLR reticle, FFP. For 1k and less ranges I find anything over 12 power to be a bit much. When...

Sidearms & Scatterguns glock sight question...

Re: glock sight question... The sights are all the same. I have a 34 and replaced the sights as soon as I bought it. Nothing special just typical trijicon sights and it shoots POA/POI if I do my job.

    5.11 Rush 24 Pack

Re: 5.11 Rush 24 Pack Juice, My buddy and I won the Rush 24 at a match this summer... Both of us got rid of the pack. I sold mine and he gave his to his teenage son. I was not impressed. Personally I think 5.11 is making some over priced cheap gear lately. This pack is no different. The...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Bombproof handguns?

Re: Bombproof handguns? I know... We are approaching the point of beating a dead horse but I think it is important to note that Kyle Lamb (VTAC, former Delta) tends to use a S&W M&P. Paul Howe (CSAT, former Delta) says on his web site, "The G19 is the most universal gun in my opinion. I...

Re: Magnum Research Baby Eagle vs SIG SP2022 I can only comment on the Baby Eagle. Basically I do not care for it. Take a look at a post I did a while back. http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthre...553#Post2821553

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Bombproof handguns?

Re: Bombproof handguns? I carry a Glock at first because I had to... I still have to but given the choice I would still carry a Glock. Regardless of what I carry I still train with it like a maniac, Glock or otherwise. The argument about not needing a safety or that the Glock is...

    Go-To optic for SCAR 17

Re: Go-To optic for SCAR 17 I have been using an Elcan 1.5-6 and it is perfect. Though I did use a SWFA SS 3-9 and the 1-4 on it as well. Both SS optics worked great and I would not hesitate to use either of them on the SCAR17 in the future.

    Fieldcraft Which Asolo boot?

Re: Which Asolo boot? Fugitives are my go to Asolo boot. I have worn several of them but love the Fugitives. Danners to me are either a love them or hate them feeling. I have never cared for Danners. They tend to be stiff and heavier than they should be.

    Biathalon Sling users?

Re: Biathalon Sling users? What I found was that the larger/longer systems have to be muzzle up... Since I am only 5'9" the muzzle is just too close to the ground and with a suppressor it will drag. With that said, the AW300 with no suppressor will ride at 12 o'clock but the Barrett 82 will...

Re: barrier blind .223 round for LE patrol carry I am a huge Gold Dot fan but when it comes to 223 I really like the Federal Tactical Bonded 62 grain. We have tested it extensively through car doors and typical construction materials and really liked the out come. Plenty of penetration...
