    Zeiss V4 is under $1000 and they have a little variety of reticles. I believe it is 90% light transmission. Not sure how that stacks up to the competition. Personally I like my 3-15x50 Burris XTR2 G2B over my Zeiss V4 4-16x44 for hunting.

    Look at it this way, at least you will have an extra set of good scope rings if Weatherby does make it right for you. I have a couple sets of those rings, one 34mm set is on a 300 WSM and I have at least 100 rounds through it on that rifle and it is holding strong.
