    178gr Amax and Varget velocity

    I'm running a similar combo 178 Amax, 42.5gr Varget, Lapua Brass & Fed 210M Primers. I've chrono'ed it at 2660fps and it holds good to 1k. Dope/drop @ 1k is 11.4 mils. This is running in an AIAE, 20", 1:12 barrel. Hope this helps. Andrew

    Laser dry fire training system?

    My simple, inexpensive method is to tape a laser pointer to the end of the barrel and tape the on switch on. I realize that the point of aim and point of laser "impact" are not at all accurate. I then dry fire practice while looking through the scope by keeping the laser as still as possible...

    7mm Rem Mag Advice Please

    In my experience, the heavier 180gr VLD like a slower burn powder .... like H1000 or Retumbo. With a 28" barrel, I'd use a slower burn powder to get every bit of velocity out of it. With 67.5grains of Retumbo, I was getting 2830fps with very nice accuracy. The VLDs tend to be "jump"...

    7 mag R22 w/wolf LRM primers

    I've had very good luck with Fed 210M Primers in my 7 RM. Haven't tried Wolf Primers however. Give H1000 a try as well for powder as well. I've had great luck with it. Andrew
